***OFFICIAL GOPHERS BUCKEYES IN-GAME THREAD***

Jalen Myrick needs to learn how to tackle. He's had multiple plays like that this year.

Don't get me wrong, I haven't been thrilled with the play calling at times, but I'm just glad they are trying to mix it up.

What I was frustrated with was why we didn't have a play ready at the end of the 3rd quarter. There was 20 seconds left and OSU had an injury. Why are we not ready to go so we could get one more play off before the quarter ends? We're down in the game, the clock is our enemy. Seriously, just have a play called and break the huddle when the official starts the clock.

I completely agree. It hasn't been a terrible game. I just don't think the coaches put the players in the right situation to win. It also seems inconsistent to play the cover 0 with Jerry Kill's philosophy: No error football. We've given up A LOT of huge plays.

What terrible defensive play calling!!!!! How may third and longs have we given up this game! Terrible adjustments on defense and this has cost us greatly!

uggggggh. Yes, the tackling today has been awful.

Say what? A muffed punt in the cold wind is strangely defined by you. Further, why the hell would we "play to keep this one close"?? Go out and try to win or just stay in the dorm and study for midterms.

Figure of speech bud. Don't take it literally!

Has more to do with players on OSU and execution. Ask MSU.

What a poor defensive effort today.

OSU is an offensive juggernaut though. We've actually held them UNDER their season average offensively so far and have allowed less yards than Michigan State.

We've also been in position to stop them too though and just haven't made plays. That last 3rd down conversion by OSU was a prime example.

The defensive game plan put guys in positions where they had to make plays. Other than BBC the defense didn't make those plays.

game could've been worse... game could've been won... lots of good to take away & a lot of bad to learn from...

on to nebraska...

OSU really just out-executed the Gophers today. The main difference was in QB play. Barrett >>>> Leidner today.

Very strange play call by OSU on third and short considering how well they were running the ball up the middle.

Also, I think Bosa had a lot to do with Leidner's struggles. Leidner likes to roll right...there Bosa sits disrupting everything. Leidner is playing as if he's been facing a ton of pressure today - even though it's not been overwhelming. He just seems very uncomfortable.

Finally, a great decision by Mitch (the long run)! :p

Interesting decision here. Probably not a bad call considering we have no timeouts.

How does this make any sense? If you get the onside kick you only need 25 odd yards to get in field goal range vs having to go the whole way down the field.

why the FG??? go for the TD & another TD for the win...

Pretty much agree with this. It's not exactly a chip shot either. Now that OSU has blown their timeouts, I'd say go for the damn TD and put pressure on OSU to lose if the Gophers recover the OK.

I may be mistaken, but I don't think tOSU is going to run up those 50 pts that were predicted.

The other side of it is that if we recover the onside, we have a lot more time to try and score. What if we don't score a TD on this drive and run off another 40 seconds?

You can throw a hail mary from 50 out, you can't kick from the 50 yard line.
