How many screens did we run today? Do we have that in the playbook?
Why would we do something like that?

Right on. He is doing the best he can. Now it's up to the coaches to assess whether that's good enough or to move on to another qb and if we have another qb to move on to.We all hate the results, but please, don't talk about him like that. He is doing the best he can and has done very good things for this team. I know the frustration, and I understand, but he is not the problem in this game. It is much deeper than him.
OK BTC, you and I shall find a way to get it on the board once a week. Unless it is the week you picked to quit....Yeah, I know, and I use that line all the time at work and nobody knows what I'm talking about. I laugh out loud when I see these young kids look at me like I'm from a different planet. We need to never let that line die!!!!!!!!!!!
They’re the best play in football for a defense that is sending men aggressively upfield. Why would we do something like that?
Just to clarify, early in the first half Morgan threw a weak outlet pass that was tipped away to the right side of the field. Just beyond that area we had a guy wide open who could have backed into the end zone. He has been poor this year and missed a lot of those. The line was bad today, with no answers to the blitzing, but he has got to make the easy throws especially when they would go for a touchdown.

But any FBS coordinator knows this.
He was not the only problem but the QB was flipping brutal. Just brutal.Fair enough, but QBs miss open receivers all the time for various reasons. Was Morgan the only problem today, in your mind?
There are occasional curves in the road but it always returns to the same place.Every 15 years you get a 2003 or 2019....Wake me up in 2033
Better hope the wild are goodYour right...can't wait for basketball.
It’s too bad we didn’t hire the guy who temporarily called the Auburn game. Would’ve been a good choice.Mike Sanford Jr = Robb Smith, maybe worse. Ciarocca sure helped PJ look good. A lot of season left, but does not look good. Bye week after Purdue. Fleck will figure it out at some point. Does Sanford get demoted before seasons end? Take play calling duties away?
The barrier

How do you like it now. Lol If you're in stadium you can see how bad it was. Sideline looks absolutely unprepared. Deer in headlights.
A win over Bowling Green in basketball might be an upset.Your right...can't wait for basketball.
Which four future games do you see as probable wins? The only way to win was for Morgan to really open up the passing game and he couldn't (as with Miami of Ohio). He should have been pulled. I don't know if Kramer can pass, but Annexstad can, and even if a 50/50 passer, Kramer would have provided a spark. Gophers outcoached, outplayed by a 31-pt underdog. Can they even win six this year?
Read my post, the oline was horrible today. The OC is unimaginative. There was no reason to get beat by this team. They are horrible, picked to finish last in the MAC and it isn’t even close.Fair enough, but QBs miss open receivers all the time for various reasons. Was Morgan the only problem today, in your mind?
Sure abt that? I can screen capture my post in many threads. Shall I do that to make you looks like a fool again?Sure thing, boatracer. Dipshit trolls come out of the woodwork when things are bad....and they crawl back into a hole when things are good. I'm guessing there's a reason why I haven't seen you around very often.
Gave him a pass last year with Covid....This was supposedly his best team......If they miss a bowl this year, the shine he got from 2019 will be gone.Just lost to a bottom MAC team at home when 31-point favorites. I think it is safe to say the shine has worn off PJ.
I don't understand anyone giving Tanner a pass here. He has 33 games under his belt and is still practically a one read and done QB. He struggles to read a defense or make in-game adjustments. He was average at best last year and has completely regressed this year.
For PJ, this is year 5 and what was supposed to be getting back on track with a veteran team. Losing Mo was a massive blow but well-coached teams overcome the loss of one player. The clues have been pretty evident that Tanner is just not a QB that can win consistently in the Big10 or come through in the clutch. Fleck's inability to bench him adds to a growing list of pourous decisions.
Anthing less than an 9-4 season (includes bowl win) and Fleck should be gone. Going 5-7 or 6-6 with wins against Miami (Ohio), Colorado, Nebraska, Maryland, and Illinois, and maybe they split against Purdue/Northwestern, would mean absolutely nothing. He is 2-9 against ranked teams with an average marging of 18.1 ppg and a combined 1-7 against Wisconsin/Iowa (likely to be 1-9 after this year).
The sadness cycle of Minnesota sports continues to spin.

I didn’t see that, until the end of the game. He was getting blitzed every play, man.

Clean pocket?? Sheesh. The O line was B-R-U-T-A-L. Faalele had the worst game of his career by a wide margin. The playcalling was criminal. By the end of the game, I think Morgan was shellshocked. He got blasted a few times to. He was not good but far from his fault here. You saw clean pockets today? We must have watched different games. He made a few bad decisions at the end, probably missed a few open receivers.
We ran 45 times for 182 yards versus Bowling Green today.

The way they played today the Gophers will be lucky to beat Illinois, Purdue, and maybe Northwestern. Going for it on 4th down deep in your own territory should be crossed off the play list, and struggling QBs should be pulled, regardless. At least we know no one will be looking for Fleck for one of the top openings this year.Which four future games do you see as probable wins?
Where did I indicate he had clean pockets all game? He faced pressure today but as I said, good QB's find ways to adapt and persevere. The few times he had a throwing lane, he threw poor passes. He completely folded which is why the coaching staff continues to keep the ball out of his hands and rely on the ground game. He should not start another game for the Gophers unless an absolute emergency. You saw clean pockets today? We must have watched different games.
