And thankfully he's not a QB prospect. Still scarred by his dad's days as a Viking. I know he had some good years before the Vikings but it was tough to watch here.

Iowa has gotten some before. I’d assume it’d have to be a five star from Minnesota for us to land one at this point though, which we see like once every twenty years.

I knew that before you brought it up. I appreciate your willingness to inform nonetheless. I don't believe we have ever recruited a five star. It certainly wasn't Clint Brewster.

We had a safety from Florida who was a 5 star on Scout, back in the day which long pre-dated 247. Kid was a baller too but got hurt. Trying to remember his name. And Seantrell Henderson (if I have it right) was a 5 star local kid from Cretin, but he went elsewhere. Looks like he did get a couple years in the NFL.

Brandon Owens. He was a beast. Career ended on a hit with Michael Robinson.
 


Who was the juco reciever we brought in. He was a 5*.... I think it was in the Mason years

Hayo Carpenter. He didn't pan out. And Jeff Jones was 5 star on at least one service... Crazy Maroney was only a 4 star.

Walker Lee Ashley (who may join us anytime now) was a 5 star DT as well, but he eventually went to USC after committing to Miami, iirc.

Seantrel signed the LOI to play at USC. Kiffin released him from that LOI to go to the U of Miami, where he played four years. I am fairly certain he had committed to the U and then signed with USC.
