Updated Lindenberg to remove the not official from his draft declaration.

Ditto for Ersery.
 

With Lindenberg declaring, we are thin at LB besides Baranowski. Would be huge to get the OSU transfer. Otherwise we’re going to be looking at a significant drop in productivity.
 





Can Malachi Coleman make a decision so I can stop checking daily 😭.

I’d like to see him and Tyler Williams paired up out there on one side, that’s a hell of a lot of height to throw to.

I asked about him the other day and it looked like he was headed to Oklahoma instead of us. Glad we closed the deal. Maybe Ersery making it official by declaring for the draft steered Tarai our way.
 





Loya is a great get. Shores up our wr room with some age and experience
 

Love the Loya pickup, good route runner with great hands. Really good slot reciever.
 

Added Loya. Assume we will see some additional transfers out after the bowl game. Feels like we are putting together a really strong group of transfers but tough to know until we get to see them in action.
 


By my count, with Loya, we have 35 new players coming (21 HS recruits + 14 transfers in) versus 31 leaving (16 OOE + 3 NFL early + 12 transfers out). If the Gophers stay at 85 scholarships, that means a few more transfers out soon after the bowl game or in the spring portal.

I believe, however, that the NCAA has made some major changes relating to 2025 football rosters. Football is now allowed to offer up to 105 scholarships--up 20 from the long-time limit of 85. Of course, individual school budgets might not allow an expansion of full football scholarships beyond the traditional 85, and I imagine major conferences might themselves impose a scholarship limit of less than 105. But what if the U will allow PJ to utilize more than 85 scholarships in 2025--say 90 or 95? Then there is still room for more transfers without further roster trimming.

Caveat: I have no idea if the U is sticking with 85 football scholarships even though th NCAA will permit up to 105. Do any GHer's have info on this matter?

Devon Williams has played a lot of snaps the last couple of years as well. Staff pretty high on Kingsbury and Carrier as well. But agreed I wouldn't turn down additional talent in that room especially a guy who got on the field in Columbus

NCAA grants waiver to athletes in Pavia's position

The NCAA Division I Board of Directors approved a blanket waiver granting an extra year of eligibility to former junior college transfers in similar positions to Vanderbilt's Diego Pavia, while also announcing it is appealing the ruling in Pavia's case.

I was always a bit jealous of the Auzzie punters other teams had on their roster. I mean, how did IOWA get Dakin, and we got Crawford? Also, Crawford was way below average on scrambling for a first down. The guy could have been outrun by a sloth.

He was done anyway according to the Gopher sports website where they showed him just having one year of eligibility coming into the 2024 season.
 

Considering our remaining needs, LB Gabe Powers would've really been a nice get but what Fleck and his staff have put together for an incoming transfer class without losing much has been tremendous.
