Last player we had out of Jersey had to be from the Mason years, right? Great recruiting ground.

Asad Abdul Khaliq was out of Jersey. He had one of my favorite quotes his senior year. He said he thought we'd have 2 or 3 national titles by his senior year...

Just checked and Brewster had one--OT/DT Sean Ferguson--who was only in the program for a year or two. But you're right. Mason hit that area really hard and got some good kids into the program from NJ.

Besides Ferguson, Amir Pinnix in 2003 and Nhemie Theodore and Hussain Shakir in 2004 are the only NJ recruits dating back to 2002. Mason definitely recruited that area harder than Brewster or Kill/Claeys.

Kill really won't like this.
Lots of good players out there. Nebraska used to get a few. Irving Fryer and Mike Rozier being the most notable.

Wasn't Lawrence Maroney from NJ as well?

Ryan Burns on KFAN just now: Predicts Tanner Morgan will be starting QB this coming season. Burns really likes what he sees on tape.

And next commitment in 3-2-1 . . .

Based on what?

He's there right now. Seems to be enjoying himself. All of the crystal balls are going to ND today. Hope I'm wrong, but getting a kid from Missouri to pick Minnesota over ND is a tall order.

I'm cautiously optimistic about our chances with Armstrong. Goblirsch mentioned something about a key commit in his blog on 247, and hasn't switched his crystal ball just yet like he did with Warren. I could be totally wrong though.

Nice! I'm liking the fact that Paup thinks that he can make the leap.

Since Jafar's tweets are all cloverleafs, unless I am mistaken...that doesn't look good for us...

We are fine with starting DTs this year but if we don't get some recruits we will have no depth and next year we will have only one upperclassman starting...like West Fargo said, we need them badly...

I'm going to write that off to auto-correct lol

Welcome Austin but I hope this is not a "key" commit

So with the addition of Schirck, do we also take Silver and Robinson at DT as well?? Presuming both are will to commit.

I dunno but

Whats the "book" on him?

On video he is quick, strong and athletic. He plays with good balance. He likes to throw people around...lol It's a highlight video but he seems to play with energy. His arms seem bigger in the Gopher pic so he's probably lifting heavy. I like his potential despite him being under the radar. The Paup connection is encouraging too in that they/the staff/Paup are telling him we believe in you. I like it.
