Rumor was that Garcia wasn't going to make it into school or even out of HS.
So he is still eligible for the SEC?

Sounds like he de-committed, not a bad sign.

Go Gophers!!
The 2016 recruiting thread has been slow. Any word about any of our targets/visitors?
What are you expecting, we don't have a head coach. It would be a miracle to get any positive news until Claeys is given the job.
We probably lose Vincent Calhoun to ECU next week if Claeys isn't named by then. And Webber, two guys that were penciled in as starters next year.
Not saying your wrong but what makes you believe that? I haven't heard anything about them looking elsewhere.
Tre Bryant just committed to Nebraska
He was never coming here without a full-time coach.
Relax they just got the Ellis situation handled! I'm thinking something may happen within the next few weeks. Does anyone know if the coaching vacancy has been posted internally? That would be the first step. What's keeping Kaler and Goetz from doing the plausible thing and making Claeys the head coach?
Is this another MN bureaucratic bungling with burdensome regulation? It is already costing us recruits, and maybe the entire coaching staff, and they are going to do nothing until a new AD is in place long after NSD?

I fully expect that we will hear coaching news in the next week. Could be wrong, but the sequence seems to suggest this is the week. Ellis is out, there's a week between the Michigan ending, and now they can move on.
The thing that bugs me is that even if there is a posting requirement internally or externally, the administration could still post the job and then leak to Joe Christensen/Justin Gaard/Marcus Fuller that Claeys is set to be hired and that it's a "done deal." Legally speaking, I believe this would still fulfill the posting requirements without violating any laws/rules. And 3-4 major reporters confirming that Claeys is the guy would be a strong enough stance to get back to business on the recruiting trail and with current recruits.
@nrfant: So blessed and very excited to have gotten my 13th offer today from the University of Minnesota #Gophers https://t.co/0yOXEoXzGn
DE committed to Iowa.
Claeys and crew getting after it.
Couldn't decipher his name from the twitter account. Do you know his full name?
