Coughlin has said he will make the decision by the end of February. Its February 7th.
 

I hope these kids are early grads and high an extra spring practice and get into the training program early. We seem to get a few more every year.

Not sure if you listened to the podcast with Billy Glasscock that was offered here on the 'Hole in another thread. In the interview (which was absolutely fantastic BTW) he mentioned that if the Gophs have 7 or more recruits by July coach Kill starts to get nervous! The reason being they like to keep open scholarships late as their evaluations usually depend on Senior film. Just thought I'd bring that part of the interview up because it will be interesting to see what happens if/when their prime targets commit by spring.....would be a nice problem to have!

You can flip that comment around and say that Coach Kill is comfortable with up to six early commitments. If we get the right high profile six we could be on our way to an outstanding class.

Well I think this is the great thing about our staff. The loyalty is there. Only guy I can think of that's left while Kill's been here is Bill Miller to Florida State.
 

Thomas Hammock was retained by Kill from Brewster staff. He was here for a cup of coffee before bolting for Becky.
Gopher fans didn't like that at all. What's strange is that I think Hammock sealed the deal for Cobb. It was a big yawn then but turned out to be a huge commitment.

Thanks for the great laugh. I suspect that Doctor Don must have gotten wind of the opening early since his house in Moorhead butts up to Fargo. There is nothing like a North Dakota westerly wind to spread the word quickly.

I would never sing a LOI...signing away all your power. Sign the scholarship agreement so the school is bound to the player but stay open until enrolling. Maybe if more athletes did this, it would force the schools to change their one sided contract. Fight against the overlords!

Good luck with that if you're a middling 3 star guy with one power five offer. It'll get pulled and you'll end up in the Mac. Some guys have this power. We'll see if they use it

Taj Williams originally signed with Indiana, but had offers from basically all the major powers out of high school. Has offers from Texas, Auburn, Florida, Illinois, Arizona St, and Oklahoma among others. Would be a huge add. Hoping the relationship this staff has with that school helps. I hope he is close to Rogers and Poock.

There's a bunch of local kids I would like to see wearing maroon and gold in this class. Coughlin-Eden Prairie, Johnson-Mpls. North, Schlueter-Mayer Lutheran, Kegal-Chaska, Cline-IMG, Kramer-Wayzata, Howard-Cooper, Hooker-Park Center, Pink-Elk River, Engel-Chaska, Johnson-Prior Lake, Barber-Armstrong. It will be interesting to watch this class progress over time.
 

Nice article on Trent Pink from Elk River on his recruitment and relationship with Coach Zebrowski on GopherIllustrated.com He talked about having a chip on shoulder, because his not in the media a lot and doesn't get to pass much based on their offense. I've seen him play basketball this year, the kid can hoop. It will be interesting to watch his recruitment.

I've heard he's a great all-around athlete. Do you think they'd bring him in as a walk-on QB type or move him to WR or safety?
