It's not often that a Rockford football player goes on to play in the Big Ten. Rockford quarterbacks who play in the Big Ten are even more scarce. But Boylan senior Demry Croft is breaking through that wall.
Croft announced last summer that he was going to play for Jerry Kill at Minnesota. Wednesday he stuck by that decision and put it in writing on his letter of intent.
"I was always convinced that Minnesota was it," says Croft.
The Boylan senior shined at a camp at Minnesota last summer. The next day Kill made Croft an offer.
"Coach Kill is a top-notch recruiter. He was just a real person. Not lying to you. Just keeping it real," said Croft in an interview with Eyewitness News.
