Sykes film is pretty impressive. Half of his highlights look like the offense told him the snap count. His ability to get off the ball will get coaches' attention.

I hope this is true....then we can finally feel comfortable with Jones not going elsewhere.
 





Is anybody else concerned that Ragnow hasn't committed yet? I have no reason to think he doesn't want to stay home, but for some reason I just get the impression that he may be waiting for a better offer. Obviously, recruits can get criticized for committing too soon, or not soon enough so I'm definitely not sounding any alarms but maybe someone out there knows something.

Normally, I would agree with you, but Ragnow already has several better offers (FSU, Arkansas, Nebraska, etc.) and we still appear to be in the lead in spite of those, so my read on this is just that he wants to take his time and be comfortable with his decision before he makes it. If you had asked me 2 months ago, I'd have said he's almost a lock to the SEC, but as of now I feel comfortable in saying he will be a Gopher.
 

I feel good about getting his commitment, because we have Stetler and Jones in his ear from now until signing day.

Unless Bama were to pull that offer, there's no way JC decommits. A full ride to NFL prep school--yes, please.

We've got to be a heavy favorite of Kocour, aren't we?
Any steam on him? He seems like this year's underheralded outstate camp offer.
Highlights look good, takes really good angles.

Steve Wiltfong of 247 made a crystal ball prediction of Ragnow to Arkansas 2 days ago. He also tweeted that Arkansas made a "big move" on Ragnow when he visited them Saturday. Despite all of the Ragnow to the U steam and the constant recruiting of him that our other commitments are doing, I'm definitly worried we may not get him.

You sure about that? His title is "National Recruiting Reporter". He's made 78 predictions for schools from all over and 74 have been correct. And, an Ohio State guy also predicted today that Ragnow will go to Arkansas.

Crystal ball predictions? Looks like a lot of these "predictions" are made the same day the kid announces his decision...like knowing it's going to rain 5 minutes before it does, doesn't really take a crystal ball. 9 of the 12 "predictors" on 247 predicted he'd go to MN.

And a lot of them aren't on the same day. If you don't think it means anything then I disagree.

I actually don't mind Gerry Dinardo. Sometimes I feel like the BTN analysts are biased against us. But he seems to have a positive outlook on gophers recruiting, seems to give each guy a fair shot despite the "no other B1G action" he still says how it was a good signing.

We may not get the love yet from the BTN guys, but I agree with you, I do not mind Gary Dinardo that much.
