Poor grades is a valid reason for choosing another school but staying close to home is equally valid. Another possibility is major, as many majors as there are at the U, they don't have them all.

i have no idea what that link says but it could be about nate wozniak from indiana as he is visiting either the weekend of the 25th or 18th. he has a very good offer list. miami, purdue, gophers, iowa state, cinci and a few others.

That sounds plausible. Talk about a big target. He's listing a top 3 of Minnesota, Miami and Purdue. Miami already has 3 TE's signed so I doubt he goes there.

They're recruiting him as an offensive lineman.

Haha, I thought that too when I first saw it. I don't have access to the article, but the title suggests that they were gauging Neiko's commitment to PSU after Ted Roof left. It looks like Roof and Butler where his main recruiters.

So if Roof leaving causes him to open up his search I'd guess that us keeping in touch with him is a good thing.

Jonathan Walton was another PSU guy we were in on. He's planned a visit to South Carolina.
 


Andrews is listed as a soft verbal now, with low interest in FSU. Is that just based on him taking a visit??

Well why would someone visit a place if they had zero interest? I still think he is pretty firm though, I feel like Bama is out of the picture at this point.
 

Interesting to see what kind of Athlete Reid Travis is. Nugget from Doogie is that Iowa offered him and Wisconsin in planning a visit with him at DeLaSalle. Is he still a basketball guy or is football still an option?

Given that he's visiting Florida St., I don't know how anyone can think that he's firm.

Would have to agree that a kid from Alabama visiting Florida State this close to signing day can't be viewed as a good thing. Hope he stays commited because he seems like the top prospect in this class right now but the fact he is taking a visit there is probably not a good sign.
 

I still think a lot of these kids make an initial commitment, soft or otherwise, to take greater control of their recruiting. It puts them in the position of saying "can't you read?" to some of the recruiters while giving themselves the opportunity to still take officials. I could be wrong, seeing as the only recruiting letter I ever got was from Inver Hills Community College which doesn't give me much of an understanding of how high-level athletes are recruited.
 


I dunno, I just like the fact that he's had an Alabama offer on the table for a while now and hasn't taken it. Also he hasn't set up a bunch of other visits. FSU has a whopping 16 visitors coming in this weekend!

So it is Walk-On Weekend...I think the PWO are the heart and soul of great teams, I hope we get all three of these guys!

Any word on Dixon?
