Teague will be on Judd and Dubay after the commercial break. Now it's 9:39.

Judd pressing NT hard on why the search wasn't transparent. Asking a lot about Flip...

NT dodging Flip questions. Not confirming or denying anything.

Now pushing on Shaka and how many people were offered the job before Pitino. Ridiculous. I wish Judd & Dubay would just move on and look to the future.

Do they really think he's going to say something like "Well we offered the job to 12 people before we offered it to Richard" ???? I agree, let's move on here.

These idiots are relentous. Move on. Ask about the practice facility, recruiting, turning the football program around.

What a waste of an interview so far. So many irrelevant questions about other candidates.

It was actually 9 before Richard. And yes, that is inside info.

He keeps saying Pitino was always on his list....always.

I think they've talked about Richard for about 30 seconds. This is getting embarrassing for 1500.

Damn, they hammer on the negative side like no one's business. Now they're hammering on Kimani's marijuana conviction. Clearly J & D are not Gopher fans.

One of the worst interviews I've ever heard. Now they are patting themselves on the back for conducting a great interview.

That was literally the first time I listened to 1500. Never again.

They asked what they needed to. Now if they keep talking about the same things next week then I might agree

So questioning someone means that you are not a fan? Democrats should question Obama, Republicans should question their leaders. It's healthy. What is not healthy are people like you who want to just sweep things under the rug that you know nothing about. If the guy has indeed turned his life around, then by all means the administration should be transparent and talk about it. Stop being so fair weather and jumping on this new staff's bangwagon before you know anything about them.

Well said

I sure hope it wasn't Dubay hammering Teague regarding Young's weed conviction. If there's a guy who should appreciate someone being given a 2nd (or 3rd, or 4th) chance, you'd think it would be Dubay.

Thy weren't "hammering" they asked how difficult was it to hire him after the marijuana thing. It was pretty basic and not aggressive. They asked basic questions about te search, the hire, and the assistants. Ppl are throwing a fit because they didnt sit and talk about how amazing pitino is over and over again

No throwing a fit here. I'm just curious if Dubay was being critical of the Young hire.

Amazing. A supposed Gopher fan telling other Gopher fans to stay off the bandwagon of their favorite team's coaching staff. With fans like you, who needs enemies? And, people wonder why we struggle.

I'm sure at Wisconsin and Iowa, they have all kinds of "fans" making sure other fans aren't getting too excited about their team. No, no, we can't get excited.

You can't make it up.

It's laughable that you can somehow analogize this to politics. The coaching search is over - we hired a coach - so it's no longer news. Really, do you think people care about the search process anymore? Let's move on and ask about the future. That is what most people care about. I agree we should question our leaders, but let's question them on things that matter at this point.

I'm sure none of you guys have ever listened to Madison's local sports radio, but it is incredible how different they are from Minnesota's. In Madison the shows are very positive, even when things are not going well. In Minnesota it seems like the strategy is to tear down the University at every possible moment. Sure you can say Wisconsin has had better teams more recently, but it goes beyond that. Sports media is no different than your typical news media, it wields a lot of power in shaping the public's opinion on issues and if it is always negative, the fan base will likely take that point of view. The opposite is also true. I think this is a major reason for Minnesota's pessimistic fan base, at least when it comes to the casual fan.

What would you have asked? What kind of style would we play? Already answered. Can't ask about recruits, so what do you ask? Assistants? Might be interesting but ppl are upset about asking about their background. Seriously what do ask?
