Nolen Broke Foot, Out At Least 4 Weeks

Nolen has never been putrid. That's ridiculous. The role of the pg in college is different form the pros. You obviously didn't watch Burleson play the position and turn our NCAA hopes over when we had the ball w/26 seconds left and a four point lead. That was putrid.
Burleson went on to log some NBA minutes - whuch shows something about a player playing extended time out of position - which is what Joseph was doing and I had no confidence in his ability to play the point long term.

The pg role at this level is so critical, and love him or not, Nolen is a true pg w/floor general skills we need. Joseph had other other skills, which we also will miss. Nolen screwed up lat year. Joseph, according to him, had more pressing personal goals. A wiser person would know that personal goals get met best within the good of the whole.

I guess if you can watch the Wisconsin game and not think Nolen was putrid, we have nothing to discuss. Oh for six, with no FTs attempted, and regularly getting beat by the opposing PG is putrid, and I don't care which position you play, or what level you play it at.

Have you watched any of the subsequent games?

I responded to a question in another post, I did not bring it up. And as I said, it's not important.

See, here's the deal, Air Force Dude, you got off to a horrible start here on GH. You demanded that everyone address you as Chief Master Savior Air Force Commander or some such nonsense.

And while I am with Moonlight - I really, truly appreciate your service to our country and your part in helping to keep me and my family free - Thank you - there's no way in hell that, given your volunteered introduction, I was going to let that slide. You, in that same thread, apologized for your behavior. So I immediately toned it down to Air Force Dude, as a friendly barb.

Now, you won't respond to some posters - me included - because we aren't showing you the respect you deserve. Seems to me, if "it's not important," then you wouldn't have a problem with my reminder to you that this is only a message board, we are not your charges and you have no authority over anyone here.

So, Air Force Dude, what's it gonna be? You wanna continue to be an arrogant prick demanding respect or you wanna lighten up? I hope you choose the latter and we can talk b-ball.

Might be time to grab that lifeline private.:cool02:

Haven't any of this thread. I just want it on the record that Al's injury is only of minor concern to me. We should still be successful this year and get out of the first round of the tourney.

I just want to point out how WRONG I was about this. Good thing I got this on record. SMH.

Nolen's injury

The alarm bells should have been ringing due to how they played in December without Nolen in the non-conf portion of the schedule. Ugly loss to Virginia, and struggles to beat Cornell, Eastern Kentucky, Akron etc and those were with Joseph.

If a person is a crucial element to a company but is unhappy with their job and is getting passed over for a promotion, pay raise etc when they feel it is deserved decides to take another job with better pay etc, are they a quitter?

this is how i feel about devoe. he made mistakes, no doubt! he was unhappy last season, no doubt! he thought about transferring before this season, that is a fact! the kid was unhappy about his situation. this happens in business everyday. even many of the people on this web site have been in devoe's situation in the business world. i think its ok to be disappointed he left but to name call and make things up is childish. devoe is gone, bitching isnt going to bring him back for the big ten tourney!

Just a guess

But if we can somehow, by the grace of God, still be in the running for a bid at the end of the regular season, he will do anything possible to play in the B10 Tourney. My gut tells me that despite any effort to play, he will be sidelined for the season regardless how far we go.
