Reading the Jim Peterson interview on home page...he mentions the hiring of Shaka a
few times?! Did he let the cat out of the bag?

I completely agree. Sounds like Monson has resurrected his career on the west coast, though, and his connections out there, plus his track record of mid major success has him getting looks at a few places. Again, I'm not saying he's the guy, but I am saying that I'm hearing he's somebody they'll give consideration too. Hopefully that doesn't Zeb Howell's feelings too badly.

Equipment Manager/Bench Assistant. You obviously are a troll, as I currently know the head "Equipment Manager" and he is obviously more than just washing uniforms. That is left to the freshmen managers who joined the program after being interviewed last April (which is where I met them). It's a tough job, and is voluntary for 40+ hours a week. Rafik (the current Equipment Manager) works way too much - and thats why he was honored on Senior Night this year- which I'm going to bet you attended since it was against your Spiders.

I'm not saying Monson should never get a crack at a BCS job again if he wants one...say USC? But UCLA? Good lord.

Hoping my Gophers and Rams both have great coaches at the end of the week. My family all graduated from the U (being from the Iron Range, and Stillwater). Just happened to move overseas and moved to the East Coast. Good luck everyone!

I have very little to do with The Richmond Spiders. Once again you got caught in a lie he wasn't in anyway a bench assistant. Pav will be the first to tell you he did no coaching nor did anyone claim he did. The tone you are taking is one you'd only be taking on the Internet. If we were in the bar together right now we'd be stepping outside for you to get the beating of your life. Also, I could careless that you are a groupy for our current equipment managers it doesn't in anyway make them bench assistants. If Shaka used one of them as an assistant coach he would actually be committing a major NCAA Rules violation as the number of assistant coaches are regulated very closely by the NCAA. Lets admit you were wrong and move on. Also, the random accusations of me being with the Spiders or a fan of the Spiders just makes it look like you are grasping for straws.

I'm hearing some new information, I'll have a new update at 10PM eastern time which could show us which direction this is going in for tomorrow. I want to check a few things before I put this out here now and look like its totally crazy.

Okay, I'm actually about to shower and head to a bar actually to meet with some friends. I'll be at Bogarts for their Tuesday 3$ doubles, it's on Cary. I've been beat up before, no big deal. I'll wear my Vikes hat.

I'm not saying it's impossible for Shaka to go to Minnesota - as I've stated previously I'd rather him go to the U before anywhere else.

G+RF has been around a while and been cordial the whole time, so that's who I'm putting my $$$ on!
 

So VCU is working on an extension for the equipment manager/bench coach? Is "Pav" a Villa7 guy?

I was already going there for some specials with my friends. I don't want to fight anyone, but I also don't want to be a keyboard warrior either. This is getting out of hand, and should be conducted on Ramnation, not on Gopher Hole.

I'm thinking Pav is gonna be there waiting for the richmondinsider and it's gonna turn into a beat down with Ram-Gopher fan and friends + Pav pummelling the the insider.

How long will you be up there tonight? Me and my boys may have to drop by and say "hello". To be honest you wouldn't last a second in my world broseph. Also lets point out yet again Pav wasn't an assistant coach.

Also my update is coming 10PM eastern.
