Yep, the future of our OL is very bright. Coach Limegrover must really be licking his chops. We will also have Campion who could push Gjere to RT (or could play RT himself) as well as some other intriguing prospects.

I think this would be great - would love to see Pirsig and/or Nick Davidson commit and plug into the competition with Campion.
 


I am very pumped with Hayes' verbal. It all starts up front, now let's get that DL shored up and we'll really have something going.

GH: Have you talked to any of those guys lately?

IH: I told Andre this morning that I was going to commit. I haven’t talked to any of the other guys.

GH: What did Andre say?

IH: He was excited for me. Kind of like, get more kids from this 2012 class

Now, it may not mean much but its nice to see the Andre McDonald is still taking an interest in the Gophers recruiting. Hopefully, its a sign of good things to come.

I also read that Maxx Williams and McDonald were the two really recruiting Hayes to stay in MN.

I remember around my senior year in HS (1989) STA had a lineman named Chris Thome (sp?) who went to the U.
 


Big get by Kill & Co. Finally some recruiting news I can get excited about.
 

The KARE-11 sportscaster did just a terrible job singing the first few lines of "Shaft" during his lead-in last night. Painful.

I thought McDonald's comments were interesting and I'm hoping they are an indication that he's going to end up at the U.

After watching his film, it's obvious this kid can play. Offense. Defense. Kid's a player.
 

The thing I like about all the commitments to this point is the versatility of each player. Each recruit is projected at least at two positions. Most have even said they are open to a couple positions. This shows that the coaching staff is looking for football minds and athletes. They are delivering to this point.

On McDonald, it sounds like he wants to come here. Is it fair to speculate that there may be some admittance issues?
 

AWESOME news! This kid is a legit S-T-U-D! I watched some film of STA last year to scout an opponent, and Hayes stood out immediately...he just jumped off the film. I had no idea who he was, honestly, but I instantly looked him up online because it was apparent he was (or would be) absolutely big time. He was just dominating the game on the DL: knocking down passes, getting instant penetration, making plays in the backfield, etc. Every coach on our staff was counting our blessings that we weren't having to figure out a way to block that kid...
 




Good pickup. You build a team on the lines. Worry about the WR's after you're bulldozing people. That first block on the pass off from the center in his video is just brutal. STA is a well coached team, which I didn't think I'd find myself saying any time soon after the Bob Slater debacle, but Ziebarth has done a good job with the staff there. I actually thought there were a few other guys besides Hayes brother on last year's team that could play at the Big Ten level, but I guess wiser (professional) heads thought better. The McManus kid would have been a blast as your punter though. Ratelle could really play too, and seemed a bit ticked he didn't get an offer.

Yes, I took the week to fulfill a request from two neighbors to help put in fence posts in their adjoining backyards. Hate to disappoint you all as I substituted a less important post for a more important set of posts. At least I did something that added real value to two real families. Meanwhile, the only thing you got to do was be disappointed over my missing rant and analysis. BFD! Life changes. Get over yourself.

As for Isaac joining the team, that's a nice commit.
