Nebraska is back...

Maybe he was possessed by the ghost of MPLSGopher which caused him to post a whole bunch of times in rapid succession.....:)
I think he's an Iowa fan actually. There's someone by the name of Harrymannback that posts on the Nebraska board and trolls as a hawkeye. Too close of a resemblance in names if you ask me.

On another note, did something happen to @MplsGopher ? It's been a while since I've seen any posts from him.

Based on what? Gophers have had 15 players drafted since 2020, Nebraska has had 9. 4 all conference selections for us last year, 1 for Nebraska.
Plus if you saw their RB getting drilled in the backfield, you'd realize they run block worse than we do.

Kinda funny to see the complaining in the husker board. They think Raiola will hit the portal after the season.

Banned.

That dude is, and has been on my ignore list forever. I'm surprised at the number of people willing to bicker back and forth with guys like that instead of just adding them to ignore list. Unfortunately I still "get" to see evidence of these people despite having them on my ignore list because they end up arguing with everyone and when others don't ignore them, I still see their endless responses to the BS.

I dunno, for some reason he always got the temp bans and would be back in like a week or month, whereas almost everyone else gets banned permanently on their first ban.

Plus if you look at an old post by him, it doesn't say "banned" underneath his logo like it normally would.

It’s fun that Nebraska is Nebraska

Rhule has traditionally not taken the big jump until year 3 in his career.
I said this when he was first hired too. I do think they’re substantially better now than in the frost era

Matt Rhule is a shitty football coach. There. I said it.

I'll actually be rooting for Wisconsin (very sorry) next week. Don't want them needing a victory over us to get bowl eligible.

Interesting notes regarding Nebby I saw in a Yahoo Sports recap of their game -

The Huskers have lost eight straight games with a chance to become bowl-eligible under second-year coach Matt Rhule, including seven one-score defeats.

Even with Holgorsen’s input, the Huskers failed to top 325 yards of offense for the fifth consecutive game. Raiola wasn’t terribly impressive, either. Nebraska doesn’t have the offensive talent to be a contender,

Same here, I wouldn't say I like WI but I hate to see the Huskers win.

Raiola should portal or he’ll die on the vine at Nebraska.

3 TDs and 7 INTs against great defenses like Purdue, USC, UCLA, Rutgers…also Indiana and tOSU. But that’s really bad. Playing Purdue should get you 3 TDs

As it relates to National Titles, Nebraska is in the Minnesota Gophers year of 1987.
If they hire their own Jim wacker for their next coach, it is over for good (it already is over for good)

And to think they once had the longest-running bowl streak.

If I was a Nebraska fan, I think the thing that would concern me the most is this team has not gotten better (maybe even worse) as the season has gone on. I would think the true freshmen qb getting more experience would help the team.

This Nebraska team did beat the current #17 team Colorado in the 2nd week.

I think Nebby really needs to win next week to break their non-bowl streak as I don't see them winning @ Iowa the last game.

Honestly the team is going to way of their freshmen QB
It makes sense that teams will find a freshmen QBs faults and scheme to them as the year goes on.

He has 2000 yards 11 touchdowns and 10 interceptions
He’s taken 22 sacks

For comparison Brosmer has thrown for 2200 yards 14 touchdowns and 4 interceptions and has taken 23 sacks.
Brosmer biggest fault is probably how many sacks he takes.

Kaliakmanis has 2100 yards 14 touchdowns and 6 interceptions. He has taken 16 sacks

I guess a freshman throwing interceptions in big ten play doesn’t surprise me

I always find this comparison very interesting. The similarities are undeniable. And Nebraska fans do not seem capable of wrapping their arms around it.

A couple differences though: The Gophers weren't starting every year ranked in the 80's. That ship had already sailed and the national perspective was never that the Gophers were "back" - unlike the BS that surfaces every winter and preseason for Nebraska. Another difference is it could be argued that the Gopher decline and long recoil from the glory years was an internal and administration project. With Nebraska, the harder they try, the more things stay mediocre.
