UCLA is a really good basketball team. Complete team on that they do everything well. They were a really good rebounding, shooting, and passing team. They earned being National champions. They were good in all aspects of basketball.
 


Nice game from the Minnesota players Gianna and Tessa. Glad it went to UCLA, good to see the championship back in the Big Ten. Does coach Cori start her portal shopping tonight? Lot of horse power to replace.
 

UCLA a very unselfish and well-rounded team. Kneepkins and Tessa showcased MN basketball talent. I'll admit that I've been confounded by some of the WNBA mock drafts that have the Lynx taking Fudd or Miles second in the draft. I've been thinking they should take Betts. No way on Fudd. One mock draft had Betts going 7th. Really?
 



Does anyone know how much money the B1G received from the tournament?

The wildcard in the Draft will be Awa Fam, a 6'4 C from Spain that was named MVP of the FIBA U20 Euro tournament. Many have her rated as the best prospect in the upcoming WNBA Draft.

I fully expect DAL to take Fudd at #1 overall to keep Bueckers happy which leaves the Lynx to choose between Fam, Betts and Miles.

Betts screams bust.

She has no skill. She plays bully ball. No dribbling, no shooting, just bully ball. That won't work on offense in the WNBA.

Also, she's slow. She can't guard the perimeter or quicker players. She would get destroyed playing a team like the Lynx.

Miles is ok. She has skill, but she's not that quick or fast. Her defense is horrible, beyond horrible. Reeve would never draft or play her.

Fudd is good at defense, and she's the best shooter to come into the WNBA in a few years. She'll be a rotation contributor at worst with all-star upside.

If Dallas chooses the player with the highest upside, Fam, the Lynx should run up to the podium to draft Betts. If they pick Fudd, I would struggle with the choice between Fam and Betts.
 

Missed the game but gotta feel good for Gianna Kneepkens. Sort of an under the radar recruit out of HS that blossomed into a star guard in the Big 12. She wasn't going anywhere in March at Utah. Don't begrudge her transferring and ending up on a championship team.
 

If Fam goes first which she will.. Lynx grab Fudd.. Reeve likes shooters… Kayla MCBride was hurt overseas so Fudd would be a nice guard in the Lynx system

IMO, if DAL takes Fam, I'm running to the podium to grab Fudd without hesitation.

Betts has post moves, moves well and can shoot up to 15 feet. Not a bust but will she find the right team is the question.
 

Is Geno more happy Dawn got destroyed or pissed they lost to that SC team?

Pissed, but UConn had obvious flaws. Strong is a 4 playing the 5. That caused them rebounding problems because they lacked size. Also, KK Arnold can't do anything on offense.
 


The Gophers have reserved Williams Arena again for the first and second rounds of the 2027 NCAA women’s tournament beginning March 17, and it’s the same week the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) will hold the 2027 girls basketball state tourney, March 17-20.
