Mo Walker's Mom takes a shot at Teague on Twitter

I don't care how pissed off you are about how you have been treated, when you display it in public you just prove you lost. It is very immature. Mo's mother should be building a statue to Pitino, the kid's body structure could not support his weight until Pitino got here. One of the most striking physical changes I have ever seen. Mo did all of the hard work, but it would not have happened if Tubby had stayed.
The second point is EE made himself completely replaceable by refusing to become an offensive player. He had the talent to contribute on the offensive end of the floor. Any big player can learn a few reliable shots around the basket, and he just would not take the responsibility to carry his end of the load. He had five years to learn three or four shots that would have made him a contributor. I don't buy at all that he could not have been a better offensive player. In any area of responsibility, if you decide you only want to do the part of the job you are comfortable with, your boss is completely within his rights to make changes to fix the problem. If the problems revolve around you, chances are you won't like the changes. The guys who should have been pissed off were his teammates who had to play with four guys on the offensive end of the floor whenever he was put in the game.

Strongly disagree.

- Mo had already lost 35lbs under Tubby and had gone from not being able to run the court more than few times to playing extended minutes by the end of the season. Would he have lost an extra 50lbs? Probably not, as the system didn't call for it, but he had already lost quite a bit of weight by the time Pitino arrived.

- Disagree on your EE point as well. If it was simple for bigs to learn a few reliable shots, every 7' player would go to the NBA. Fact is, some guys just aren't good offensive players. I'm sure there's nothing EE would have liked more, but you can't teach touch or finesse. Mo came in with offensive skills and no defense, Elliot came in with defense and no offensive skills. Both got better at their particular strengths while ignoring their weaknesses.

I think it is a little weird that someone would care if the AD is on the floor. My guess is the players couldn't care less and probably wouldn't have even thought about it if someone didn't point it out to them.

Where was Kaler btw?

All he got was free education.

Handshakes spread germs. :banghead::banghead::banghead:

This entire thread should have stopped after Dr. Don's brilliant post. Mo got a free education and more importantly, handshakes do in fact spread germs!!!

Dr. Don should have done a mic drop after that post!

Go Gophers!!

Speaking of free educations, has anybody heard anything as to whether the NCAA RC might drop the hammer on UNC anytime soon?

Why does anyone even care?

I hope that you are kidding here. Why does anyone care? AD directors are mainly the PR people. This guy's main job is to raise money. He has no such a skill. Mo has the potential to be very successful in his future career. Do you think he will come back here and say, NT, here is a couple of million to improve you practice facility? Anything is possible right? A good AD director knows these things.

Here are a few classless things that NT has done so far:
1. His previous fired coach had to hear from the social media that he was fired before NT broke the news to him. By the way, I didn't see any of you saying how bad that was. It was in the social media right?
2. Didn't call the recruit to say thanks for selecting us but we have chosen to go different way with our new coach.
3. Forgot to thank Mo and other seniors for sticking around during the tough time. All of them could have left the program but were committed to this program so they deserve a thank you at least.

These are the things that the future recruits will see. Now, stop being a Minnesota nice and accept the fact that this guy screwed it up and stop attacking a parent whose son was treated not so well.

Not likely. And the "tough time"...was that then or is it now?

That has yet to be determined.

Your rant against the AD has nothing to do with any of the points you listed. All this comes back to is the fact that this is the AD that fired Tubby.

Like you said, yet to be determined.

I'll agree your first one is outrageous. There is no excuse for that info leaking the way it did. Actually, number 2 bothered me quite a bit as well. I feel like number 3 (the one that this thread is about) is the one that I don't really care about. I could see a reasonable, well-intentioned person saying "hey, this is about the players and their coach, I don't want to steal the spotlight like Alvarez grabbing the trophy out of GA's hands".
