I wonder if a connection with David Shaw might make sense if they strike out with big name coaches currently with other programs. Had a great run at Stanford. Curious what he might be able to do with Michigan's resources. Currently passing game coordinator with the Lions, so he may be done with the college game, but by all accounts a fine man and leader, which should be an equally important part of the equation at this point for Michigan's administration.

As another poster mentioned, it’s likely not a surprise that he resigned right after the PE deal was announced.

Can anyone imagine the gnashing of teeth on the board if Fleck got hired by Michigan and Harbaugh was promoted to interim head coach? The amount of head spinning by some posters would result in at least two spontaneous combustions.

Ever heard of Andrew Luck or Christian McCaffrey? Did quite well. Forget Michigan and 11 players offside as coach let 15 seconds run off the clock just to run an 8 against 11 play. Forget the Gophers were not offside when recovering onside a year ago.

Michigan deserves Brian Kelly.

Let's not be ridiculous, Matt Simon would be the obvious next University of Minnesota head coach.

Mike Max will take the job but only if he can continue to do Kick-Off Thursay and High School Sports Wrap.

When Colbert goes off the air in May, I don't know why WCCO doesn't give Maxie the 10:35 to 11:00 slot so the rest of us can get a few more minutes of news.

You're probably right. I respect Fleck a lot, but even he admits that he's not for everyone and the Michigan fan base would be a lot rougher on his style than our fan base has been.
 

I don't think PJ is a good fit for Michigan. His culture for life program building is good here but in Michigan all they what to do is win baby win as they have proved the last 5 years. They don't care if they need to cheat to do it.

In a different time & galaxy Michigan hired Gary Moeller after he failed at Illinois. Of course, Moeller was joined at the hip with Schembechler going back to Miami of Ohio & was his choice to succeed him.

Moore’s proclivities are not dissimilar to Mike Max/Mark Rosen/Sid and a few other TC media bulls. It’s actually pretty sad.
