Michigan fires Moore

Girlfriend who's over 50 years younger, but yes it was him
It was his wife, Jolin, who influenced the NIL contribution for Underwood. I'm sure Larry has a side piece who has him donating money elsewhere (likely to her), but this particular one came via his wife.

Dude is a winner at Minnesota, it's not unrealistic. I don't know if it's likely for Fleck, however, unless he's ready to put RTB to the side. I don't see Michigan allowing oars or the posting of nontraditional slogans anywhere in their storied football tradition
They just started having outside ads in the stadium so probably a no go on the Oars.

Why is Deboer such a hot to Michigan? Just cause he is wanting out of Bama or what's the connection to Ann Arbor?

nothing. just the hot seat at Bama/it not working out great and the expectations for anyone having to follow Saban. All the same resources at Michigan but probably less pressure acutely given he gets to follow the disaster that was Sherrone coupled with he's shown he can win up in cold weather makes him a big name that's an achievable target at this time

You are right that they are married, and he's also about 50 years older than she is. We were thinking of the same person.

Matt Campbell:
35-15 at Toledo
72-55 at Iowa State
Now he has a new, exciting opportunity at Penn State

In comparison:

P.J. Fleck:
30-22 at Western Michigan
65-44 at Minnesota

No, I don't think Michigan will look to hire Fleck. But, if you compare Fleck's record with Campbell's, I certainly wouldn't laugh at the idea of P.J. getting a call someday from a bigger, more prestigious job with more resources, like a Penn State. Campbell's and Fleck's records are at least roughly comparable.
We need to start operation Keep Heather Fleck Happy (KHFH)!

That should help the coaching search. They might end up having no choice but to have an interim for a year.
UM currently has an interim president, so they could hit the rare interim trifecta with president, AD and head football coach!

He’s a Midwest guy mostly, with some time on the west coast and no prior southeast experience. Taking the Bama job was probably a no brainer but maybe he has found that he doesn’t like the environment and would rather be in Big Ten country. Expectations are high at Michigan but not as high as Bama especially in the short term after this scandal.

It's amazing how many Fortune 500 companies are laying people off without any involvement from HR. They just put it on the middle management to deliver the news and in some instances, they don't even escort them off the premises.

There really is a crisis of common sense in this country.

Additionally, I think the assumption is that Bama would let him go

I mean even if he narrowly misses Bamas crazy expectations he’d still be a top candidate for other jobs. Not saying he wouldn’t take a Michigan offer, but I don’t think Bama expectations are something to run from.

I'll argue that NOT involving HR automatically increases the level of common sense. There's not a more worthless and overstaffed function in business than human resources.

Right now +1500 odds that PJ gets the job
I think it would be very bad for us if PJ left, so I hope no one from over there is interested. But I also think they would be stupid not to go after him. I think he’s the perfect man for them right now. He’s the perfect coach to repair their reputation, and he’s “won” in a tough place to win at Minnesota. I absolutely think he could win big at Michigan given the resources he would have at that program.

agreed. The last people on earth I want to see if I'm getting fired is the HR morons.
