Max

Looking at SEA's defensive stats when they play at home, factored in with the current status of our OL, and I almost feel obligated to create a pre-emptive Go Fund Me account for Max.

I have that nervous excitement to see what the kid can do. My expectations are low but Gopher aspirations are high. Let it fly, kid.
Luckily he got used to some bad o-line play with the Gophers.

He is going to get the ball out way faster the McCarthy. Max will be a dark horse for ROTY

Fun stat: The average starting QB took 2.81 seconds to throw the ball last season according to NFL Next Gen Stats for 2024.

If Max can have that level of protection he should do pretty well. Dropsies with the TEs and receivers is another issue with his style of quick release. Ski U Max!

In the Vikings thread, where you also post complete nonsense. These were in response to this post:

I don't think there's any fear to put Brosmer in there. And they need to know if he can be QB2 going forward for 2026 and 2027. A guy with a handful of career starts who's been on the team for 2 weeks doesn't give you a better chance to win just because he's a "veteran" IMO.
These posts were correct for Nov 6, when they were made. Vikings had just won at Detroit, and were looking to climb back into contention.

With the bad loss to the Bears, and then the abysmal loss to the Packers, the posts are now being taken out of context.

That said, with the left side of the OL likely to be out for this game ... we very well could be looking at a battered and injured Max and needing to start Wolford next week.

Max better get the ball out of his hands, is all I can say.

Jesus give it up. Just because the OL has injuries doesn't mean Max will be injured. There's OL injures all over the league.

Just admit you never wanted Max to start and you don't want to see him starting going forward.

This whole thing defines the term ‘nothin to lose’. That vike off-season of the coaching staff reiterating every week the growth of McCarthy was ridiculous. Reminded me of Jerry Kill off seasons of wrs and leidner.

If you don't think Skule being the LT has a significantly higher chance of taking a bad, blindside sack than Darrisaw ... I don't know what to say. You're way too smart and know way too much football, for me to believe that.

Your second sentence is not true, at all.

The fact of the matter for me is: I mostly don't care about Max Brosmer. He was a one year portal mercenary for the Gophers. That's tough for me to get much invested in a player, when that's the case.

Lindsey, I will be deeply invested in if he stays here and plays for four years.

I do care about Brosmer slightly more than I care about McCarthy. Which is zero. I don't care if McCarthy ever plays another game for the Vikings.

Can you say the same?

Injuries can happen at any minute even with a fully healthy roster. Worrying about Max being injured before the game even starts is ridiculous. Plus JJ will likely be healthy again next week.

I want the Vikings to be good. You continue to infer that the Vikings can't be good with Brosmer starting because he's an UDFA rookie. I don't believe that's the case because there are plenty of examples of late round or UDFA QBs being good.

I don't care if Max or JJ end up being good or bad. I just want the Vikings to find a good young QB. It would be awesome if it was Max.

Speaking strictly as a Vikings fan:

If Brosmer hadn't spent one year here as a portal mercenary, then no local rube fans are calling for him to play any more than they're calling for John Wolford to play.

He's ... undrafted. If he never plays for us ... it's not a big deal.

There's no point in pretending like he was a 4th round draft pick this year. No .. we don't need to see what we have in him.

Obviously I get there is going to be Gopher homerism on this site, as there should be. Carry on
You are 100% right if Max didn’t spend a year here Viking fans wouldn’t be calling for him…. But he did spend a year here.

Personally, I’m a fan of the Gophers and Vikings and am jacked to see him play for the Vikes.

I like Max, I believe in Max, and I hope he does well!

Hundred percent. But let’s put it on the table. Completion rate over 60% with a minimum of 18 pass attempts. 2 td passes with zero ints is the success level. No excuses.

You are such a tool, and a dull one at that...

Gophers and Vikings fans can never have anything nice.

Shit just never goes our way...

As much as I hate the Vikings, I cringed when I saw that. I was hoping Max would do well.

Max with the worst Qb play of the year! That was unbelievably stupid!!
I'm way old and Vince Lombardi is rolling in his grave. Ever since Dan Campbell started going for in on 4th-and-whatever it's become a rage around the league. I don't care if you are home or away or playing on a neutral field, given the QB situation you really have to take the points down there.

But there's no excuse for Max not just taking the sack or throwing it out of the end zone with a guy running loose.

Everything just seem way too fast out there for Max. He looks like he’s about to cry out there on some of the closeup shots.
