The press conference starts in a few minutes.

What do we expect to hear?

If he announces the next hire, he has beat my expectations.
If he announces a search firm, he is terrible.

If he says anything about searches of any kind.

I don't know how you say "We have an offer out to our primary candidate and several top choices behind him in case it falls through" in AD speak. But that's what he needs to say.
 




He is going to say we expect to hire the brightest, best, darndest most disciplined winner ever. One the Kids will be proud of playing for and be happy to have as their coach. At the end of the day the U stood up for all that is right and good, and that the University is winning for all of Minnesota. His parting shot's will be every one grab an Oar. I hope he has a coach hired already or this is going to be an unmitigated disaster for the entire program, a coach that people will like.
 




He had better be answering questions not just reading a statement.

The last time they fired a coach academics were already in the tank. Probably APR is going to tank again, as well as team GPA, unless those guy's realize they are only harming themselves.

Probably because he was blasted with e-mails to dump Claeys. Gopher Hole was blasted as well to dump our coach. As we all know we have knee jerk Gopher Holers here. One day fire, another day keep. Goes back and forth depending upon the situation.

He just wanted to avoid potential litigation.

Coyle has been prepared for this press conference much better than anyone from this administration during this entire fiasco.
