I knew upon his hiring, that this coach was a project. Giving him anything less than 10 years is a waste.

I'm sorry, but no coach gets a 10 year probationary period in the Big Ten.

The only way I can find any logic in this type of thinking is that people may be considering the 7 years as an investment that needs further time to come to fruition. However, that is the fallacy of valuing the sunk cost in decision making. Just because you invested a lot in something in the past doesn't mean that you are bound to continue investing in it in the summer. What matters is the future - not how much time we devoted to this coach already.

LoL.... 10 years is such a long span of influence that even the best POTUS aren't allowed more than 8. But a mediocre basketball coach should get 10? :ROFLMAO:
