Ky Thomas enters portal

What was it?
Oh, in Irving’s Twitter account it said, “its been real” under a pic with him and my hugging - someone thought that meant Bucky was transferring and it ended up being the opposite.

The much more logical conclusion is that a coach getting paid millions of dollars a year to win games would purposefully play a player he thinks give us a worse chance to win because he likes that person.

That checks out.

Well who would you trust...Fleck or some dude named sonjay on a messageboard? Come on man what would Fleck know!?

So it is your contention you have not implied or said that in the past?
It's too far back than I care to look. But unless I said it, anything you think I implied would fall on you, no? So what exactly are you asking?

I am sad to see him go, really am, he was a beast for us and can only get better. I just don’t understand what people don’t understand about this move though. He showed how elite he is and doesn’t want to be behind anyone on the depth chart. Plain and simple.
He doesn't have to be behind anyone. Perform and you get carries.

Looks like Purdue, Colorado, and Kansas have #Blessed him.

I have zero insight, but at the beginning of the year, I kept wondering where Ky was. It's as if he was forgotten or not even considered. Even after the first couple of injuries, Bucky got into games and Ky was no where to be seen. I honestly think that caused a little resentment in Ky, probably not buying 100% into Fleck anymore. And now knowing these injured guys are coming back, he would just rather go elsewhere, where he hopes to be the feature back.
Bucky is going to get his carries because he brings a unique skill set. Potts & Thomas are essentially interchangeable in terms of skill sets.

He was the best rb we had in this season. Kstate offered kizzzzzzzash

Twitter mostly from what I’ve seen.
Good deal. Unfortunately, that requires the player announcing it like Nnamdi appears to be doing. I have a level of respect for the transfer kids who are handling themselves differently than their first go-around. Shows a level of maturity in my book but it makes it difficult to track their process.

I was hoping you stumbled on another source.

Seeing some rumors of Fleck filing a complaint against KSU for tampering in regards to Ky Thomas.

K-State was the first place I thought of when Ky entered the portal. First they went after Knuth the weekend before signing day, now possibly this. Maybe a little bad blood brewing between Klieman and Fleck.

He’d have to share carries with Deuce Vaughn if he goes to KSU.

Don’t be surprised if Thomas ends up at Nebraska. They need RB’s and it’s close to home for him.

I am not pleased that Thomas is looking elsewhere. IMO, he was Mox2 and a perfect back for PJ's offense.

A lot can happen between Dec 1 and Sept 1. Based on his 2021 performance, getting better in the off season, and the uncertainty of the returning injured players, I felt he was in a position to claim the #1 RB spot and earn 15-20 carries per game.

If everyone is healthy going into 2022, there could be a lot of comp for PT and a 2-3 of unhappy RB's on the sideline. Maybe he didn't want to be a part of that scenerio! Who knows, maybe he felt he wouldn't get a fair shake.

KSU was the first place I thought of when he announced. But Vaughn, a 5-6, 170# RB, had a very good year and will be a JR.
