I'd say that there has been a culture change. Maybe it hasn't been as dramatic as some of us hoped for, but most of us never really see the underbelly of the beast either. I hear of a lot less players in trouble and Kill let Nelson walk at the right time. The program appears to be cleaner and we are more successful on the field. That sounds like culture change to me.
You think? What amazed me is how few people originally understood what Jerry was all about. It was all there for us to see, i.e. he did at his previous programs and everything he was doing here was about changing the culture. He told us how he was going to do it but at first only a few heard or believed him. Now most do.
When I suggested early that the Jerry was the real deal, there were many here were not yet comfortable with this. Wren in particular went after me for stating this. He said the only thing that counts was Big Ten Wins. I suggested that what really counts is actions that will change the culture. Do that and have patience and the wins will come.
