KFAN/Barreiro saying they will have some info. on today's show

Leach will absolutely win or settle the lawsuit against espn and james. The hard part about slander lawsuits is for most people it is hard to prove economic hardship, for leach this part is easy. All he has to prove is that what espn/james reported was inaccurate, and if it is inaccurate it should be relatively easy to prove. I'n sure that pepperdine law degree has helped him to these conclusions.

Leach will be rolling in the money over the next 2 years. He will likely make money in 2 different settlements. Plus he will get a job coaching somewhere.

Had to drive to a meeting. Heard Brackin. Missed Lou. From what's been said here, I guess I missed the better information.

I always thought Brackin was a decent writer, but I was embarrassed for him during his segment. Barrerio does what he does (as does Gaard), but I thought Brackin would have least provided some semblance of balance in his assessment of the situation instead of a "Maybe I'll be proven wrong."

I was especially mystified by his stance that a grudge between Maturi and the "Save Gopher Football" group has poisoned this whole thing. As someone who has lived through two instances of M Club meddling (Warmath to Stoll and Stoll to Salem), I can see why Maturi would like to keep them at arm's length. Maybe a sit-down with them is in order, but if all that group is going to say is "Hire Trestman!" why bother listening?

I don't have as much of a problem with Trestman as others here, but the fact remains that if he were this great coach, he would have risen up the ranks faster and would have had a head job somewhere other than Canada by now. He may be the next Vince Lombardi, but if he is, pretty much all of football has whiffed on him.

I'm not going to rag on Barreiro and Gaard. They are paid for opinions over news. It's a different story with Brackin.

If I had to venture a guess, Leach will go to a mid-major when he's ready and be the only game in town. He'll likely do well and he'll be at a place where he's treated as a diety.

Venturing a guess, I think the U is staying away from him given the fact that they'll be replacing Maturi in the near future and are worried that Leach will insist on all types of conditions on who the next athletic director will be. Just a guess on my part.
