Ryan James just tweeted Brookins is heading to the Badgers

Dang iPhone changed his last name in title...my bad

Another example of Haugy#33's comment some time back:

"A verbal commitment isn't worth the paper it is written on."

Home boy now crossing the border to be with Bucky - In Kill they do not trust. Adios Kid!

wow. filtering everything I want to scream about how mad I am and how much I hate Wisconsin.

Yuck.

Seriously stupid of kids to have so little amount of character.
You want to keep your options open? DON'T COMMIT!
If he flips back great, but otherwise I hope he never sees a single snap in wisky.

keelon! keelon likes his money! He makes a lot they say.

I hope he's a starter in three years and he gets pulled after Nelson and McDonald torch him for 3TDs in the first half.

I need to not post for awhile. Character matters to some people, Coach Kill for sure.

Obviously he is going to be playing for the right coach now.

(Ski-U-)Meh, he wouldn't have played much in Minneaparis. No big loss.

Wisconsin should be thanking the gods to luck into the recruiting remains of such a storied program.

It was about this time last year when everyone was up in arms around McDonald de-committing. Let's see what happens...

I do believe that Kill & co will do their job. Did we expect to see Andre Mcdonald as a Gopher after he flipped? I'm not going to read too much into this update. Like many of us who went through college application process, these future Gophers are going through the same process. At the end,we will prevail.

Kill closing the borders unfortunately will not happen over night. It is going to take time.

it's got to stop sooner rather than later. Last year was a good start but now we are regressing and with the 2014 class looking strong (especially Jones) losing these kids looks bad no matter how you slice it.

Winning cures everything. When Kill starts to win that my friends is when the bleeding ends.

Ugh...... Penn state will sign a better class than kill in feb.

Meh. Good riddance. I wish him bad luck in the remainder of his football career, and I hope he comes to regret this decision because of Gopher success on the field in the next four years.

It's funny that this sentiment is expressed in the same thread as people noting that McDonald eventually flipped back. Do you think Coach Kill questions McDonald's character?

Phillip Nelson was the one we couldn't let get away and he is ours. Jeff Jones is the next "must-get" who we absolutely can't let get away. The others will hurt, especially when they flip to our rivals, but we can persevere and overcome not getting them.

So when someone gets banned, they can sign up for a new name the same day?

My rooting interest for Ohio State increases daily.

Funny enough. I think the fate of OSU is intertwined with us.
The permanent cross-division opponent of OSU is Michciagn and they are also in the same division with Wisconsin. If they can win these two games yearly, it is good for us. Conference is is closed system. Thus cause zero-sum game.
Yes, I'll be rooting for their success as well.

The Leaders division is a 2-horse race for at least the next 8 years.

I like Coach Kill, but this is a bad sign. I do not blame Kill for missing out on Onwualu as I never thought MN had a chance to land him. However, I agree with a previous poster losing Rucker to Iowa and Brookins to WI is unacceptable. We can't lose in-state players to IA and WI. It's a totally different kind of loss than it is when the big boys show up (Notre Dame). Even Brew rarely lost to Iowa or WI in a battle (I believe only Beau Allen had a Brew offer and ended up at IA or WI).

Oh well, maybe he'll change his mind. Either way, we'll continue on and go Gophers!

Oh it's not the same day. If you'll notice, he's had the login since March of 2012, but miraculously waited until today to make his first post.

I don't think so. The probation really doesn't seem to be hurting PSU as much as we all originally thought. Only a couple of 2013 recruits have decommitted and no one has transferred. Certainly PSU isn't going to the CCG any time in the next 4 seasons, but after that they may be right back to prominence.
