He already has another year of eligibility. Is redshirting for an 8th year out of the question?
J/k, gallows humor.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
Next year would only be 7, but I wasn't a math major, so could be wrong. He already has another year of eligibility.
Here's hoping it turns out to be nothing on the injury front for Curry. If anyone deserves things to go his way for a change it is that guy, he has been through so much over the course of his college career. What I saw was a guy who looked scared to death laying on the floor. Flashbacks racing through his mind of all his previous injuries. Then relief on the bench with expressions that said, "Hey, I could be okay here."
But how about his contribution on the court!!!! He was very solid. 19 points versus Michigan State at their place is no where in my scenarios of what Curry might contribute on the court this year. He got rebounds, forced turnovers on defense, posted up, collected loose balls... Curry was a huge factor in our performance.
Really like a lot of stuff Ben does!!! There is a plan and his guys execute it to the best of their abilities. Fun to watch! Good job Gophers!
He has been great....far beyond expectations. He has had the year he deserves and I hope this ankle injury doesn't change that.I don’t care what this means for the team, as far as wins and losses…that kid has left everything on the court for this team and deserves to get as much run as he can.
Can’t help but cheer for a kid that represents The “U” like he has.
I thought the opposite. To the naked eye that is a type of roll that keeps me out only a week or two.Thought it looked bad. Expecting to see a lot of Daniels in the next few games, or as much as he can stay in the games without getting in foul trouble.
That would be great.I thought the opposite. To the naked eye that is a type of roll that keeps me out only a week or two.
You never know what happened inside the ankle obviously but that wasn’t a gruesome ankle roll
Keep in mind I am always wrongThat would be great.
This is really too bad as we enter a 5 game stretch where, at full strength, we have a fighting chance to go 4-1.Thought it looked bad. Expecting to see a lot of Daniels in the next few games, or as much as he can stay in the games without getting in foul trouble.
Exactly, this is the stretch you really want and need everyone. This is really too bad as we enter a 5 game stretch where, at full strength, we have a fighting chance to go 4-1.
I mean I know it is Minnesota sports....but maybe....just maybe we will get lucky for a change and he will be good to go quickly. It could happen....law of averages says things have to go right for us sometimes right?Exactly, this is the stretch you really want and need everyone.

You got that right. Shades of Joey King.I don’t care what this means for the team, as far as wins and losses…that kid has left everything on the court for this team and deserves to get as much run as he can.

If it keeps you out a week or two, how long will it keep out a college athlete?I thought the opposite. To the naked eye that is a type of roll that keeps me out only a week or two.

I actually think Curry's history and current status might work the other way in this case. He knows he isn't going to play pro ball after this year, this is it. So if he can play on it without running the risk of making it worse I bet he will gut through the pain and get out there ASAP. He knows the team needs his size and he isn't going to want to lose any of the games in his final go around if he can avoid it.But, considering Curry's injury history, I would think the trainers/doctors are going to be a little more careful than they would with someone with younger and healthier legs.
best case scenario is probably two weeks. worst-case a month.
time for Thompson to grow up. He is going to have to give them some minutes, or else the Gophers will have the smallest team in the B1G if Ramberg has to play significant minutes inside.

In addition, Daniels is going to have to figure out at least some sliver of an offensive game if we stand a chance without Curry. But, considering Curry's injury history, I would think the trainers/doctors are going to be a little more careful than they would with someone with younger and healthier legs.

Speaking of trainers...where the hell were they when Curry is on the ground. Finally, Ben shows up and even then it takes more time for anyone else to show up. Then we get the most awkward help to get Eric off the floor. Did MSU have no training staff and do the Gophers not bring their own trainer? But, considering Curry's injury history, I would think the trainers/doctors are going to be a little more careful than they would with someone with younger and healthier legs.

IDK. But have Mom apply for a trainer position. Can she do a fireman’s carry?Speaking of trainers...where the hell were they when Curry is on the ground. My wife, who is a physical therapist, was shocked at the lack of support on the court. What gives?
