Name one tier 2 coach with a better coaching record, more stable staff than Jerry Kill and resurrected three programs.

Kill should pay us to coach here. There goes our recruiting for this year. Every coach will use his health issues as well as his lack of BCS experience against The U. I can't believe we are going to hire this guy.
 

If true, amazing how far this program has fallen. Hired Mason, who was offered Georgia the year before. Turned down the present USC head coach among others the last time.

We're the new Indiana.

I think the health issues thing is ridiculous. What is a rival coach going to say to recruits?

"So you're interested in Minnesota? You know Coach Kill is going to die soon, right?"

Yep, that would win me over as a recruit.

Okay, we need to end the discussion on what he looks like. By all accounts he is a top-notch guy.... if not exactly a lightning bolt of energy for the fanbase.

Our recruiting class this year is horrible, it doesn't matter either way.

I am excited by this hire if it happens. I had no expectations coming into this process so I am not blinded by most of you who just want the next "it" coach of the moment which is not realistic. He has everything this program needs and is looking for at the moment along with his very loyal staff that would be following him. So he is not one of the "cool" names out there right now. Who give a flying f? The guy can coach and that is all that matters to me. My prediction if hired: he makes you all eat crow in the next 4 years.
