If you were Teague, what would you do?

Fire Tubby. But only if they have a guy they really like locked-up. Same day fire & hire or keep him. No search committees.
Tubby is a good man. He moved the program forward. I don't hate Tubby. But I don't believe he will get this program where we all want it to be.

Fearless prediction -Flip has been to most AV games - he's acting like a coach recruiting talent - So I believe Teague will convince Tubby to hire Flip as a co-coach to be hired in a few years to take over the helm.... Maybe hire T Tucker and Q Lewis to getsome young recruiting guys...
Knowing only what I've seen on the court this year and over the past 6 years, I'd fire him.
These guys know the inside stuff that we don't. Where does Tubby stand on recruiting for next year? If they feel he can get two of the three- then they will retain him.
What has been the mood of the team about the coaching? If it has been as bad as Playa claims- then he's gone. If on the other hand guys like Dre like playing for Tubby- then maybe he gets retained. How bad is the situation with the major boosters? If it's as bad as some here think- he's probably toast.
We should know in the next day or two.
+1. Have Flip on speed dial.
I would dip my bald head in oil and rub it all over a tall Jamaiican maid who doesn't speak English.

I've been hard on the old ball coach in all of his years. I think he makes a lot of mistakes. I'd like to see him adjust to some of the most blatant problems that we see negatively affecting the team time after time, such as the hockey line substitutions and the failure to guard the 3-point line.
That said, I don't think this season was on Tubby as much as it was on the players. In too many games the guys quit on the team, starting with the Michigan loss, and proceeding through to today's lukewarm energy in the first half of the Florida game. You can argue that maybe the lack of energy is reflective on Tubby, and I can buy some of that, but at some point the players need to display their own passion. I see that passion in a lot of guys on Tubby's team, including 2 of the 4 seniors leaving the program (Mbakwe and Ingram). I don't see that passion in a lot of other guys, including the other 2 seniors. How much of that is on the coach, and how much is on the player? I believe it's much more on the player than the coach. This Minnesota team was certainly not the only team to underperform this year. Just look at Kentucky, or UCLA, or Purdue.
Tubby got the team its first NCAA victory in over 15 years. I'm disappointed that the season didn't go further, but the cupboard's not bare next year, and maybe we should see what happens with next year's team before giving up on Tubby. If I'm Teague, I give him 2013-2014 to display that he is indeed the coach that we thought he would be. And here's hoping that Tubby will do everything he can to get his team to overperform next year instead of underperform.
