Even in defeat all they play from our game besides the GW FG is Paulus highlights.......

When I was watching they showed three plays in the highlight package.
1) The bad snap by Syracuse on the first play
2) Paulus TD pass to Williams
3) Our game winning field goal
Seems about right to me.
When Paulus was named the starter many on this board were happy that it would bring some national attention to the game. What it really did was bring national attention to the fact that Paulus plays football now.
Did anybody really expect them to gush over the performance put on by the Gophers and ignore the major "non-game" story?[/QUOTE]
Not really. Should have expected it after Ward and Bentley talked about how great he was in high school every time he happened to step on the field.
I don't see what the point of getting upset about it is. ESPN is awful and concentrates on story lines more than the game.
Remember, Syracuse has a HUGE journalism school. I don't even want to venture
a guess at how many SU alums work at ESPN. This should come as no surprise.
Barf bag please! That was prpbably the most one-sided, lopsided and slanted broadcast of a sporting event in can recall.
The game was on espn2 makes ~$50/month for cable worth it.
The game was on HD is worth the additional ~$30/month.
My TV's mute button = Priceless.![]()
ESPN is in the business of promoting ESPN. They don't really care about sports anymore. It's been that way for years now.

we need to relax....of course they are going to focus on the one "story" from the game, being Paulus. big deal.....I am glad they don t even mention the gophs, for good reason, we played awful and are not a big story, why should we be? Nobody heard anything about Purdue beating Toledo, and for equally good reason... let us beat AF and maybe Cal before our name is mentioned.
