How's Koi doing?

Surprising with all the anticipation about Koi Perich and worry that he wouldn't get much chance this year, now that he's on the field I would have expected more commentary.

His 61-yard punt return might have been the biggest play of the Michigan game. He had some moments on defense as well and came within a whisker of a sack on Orgi when he was in on a blitz package.

Koi is playing ... kick returner, punt returner, other special teams, and defense. He can do it all. With more Dbacks going down at Ann Arbor and possibly out this week, we can look for him to get more snaps on defense. In fact, in the near future it may be difficult to get him off the field.

He's doing great IMO and I think we're just going to see more of him on the field in the second half of the season.

He's going to have a great career here, only downside is I 100% expect him to leave early for the NFL. I hope I'm wrong and he's one of those players who wants to exhaust their college eligibility/finish their degree before declaring for the draft, but those players are very rare.

His punt return single handedly shifted the momentun of the game. I went from only passively watching the game to fully invested after his return. My partner could hear me yelling from upstairs.

Just shows how hard it is to be a punt returner and be trusted in that roll. It took us getting our 2nd highest recruit ever and a top 100 player to finally see what helmet schools get every year.

I’d be interested in seeing the official snap counts from today. Instead of being limited to the dime package, he got a ton of play today. I looked at the safeties most plays, and by my count he was back there 70%+ of snaps.

Personally if Koi had signed with OSU, the ratings services would have bumped him to borderline 5*. He is the best recruit this program has ever signed in the internet era as far as I'm concerned.

Brown is very good in his own right. I wonder if they both can stay in the field. Feels like they rotate safeties more than you usually see.

When I saw Gousby and Walley in uniform pre-game, my spirits were bolstered. Throw Perich in there, our DB situation is looking real good.

The interception was highlight reel no doubt, but his run support is really f'ing good. Young man has a nose for the ball. Reminds me of Harrison Smith, but maybe even more athletic. Ceiling for him is only growing.

He looked like the best player on the field yesterday for the D yesterday. There was a drive in the second half he basically made all the tackles the whole drive, think it was the drive he forced the fumble. He looked spectacular.

What's the deal with #8 from USC after the INT? Koi was celebrating near the student section, and #8 ran up to knock the ball out of his hands. You can see this in the highlights at the :22 mark. Unfortunately, it cuts off right as the USC kid reaches for the ball.
