Hole Poll: What grade would you give AggieVision for its Gophers/Aggies production?

Incomplete. Not sure they were in the same stadium. Luckily the announcers didn't know where they were, what the score was, who scored when, or much of anything else. Although they definately get a plus for the Halftime conversation with the coach. Both camera operators were about even. They weren't exactly sure how to adjust lighting, follow the play, zoom out while not live, or much of anything else. Other than that, it was brilliant!

It's not even about the quality as far as HD or even the announcers or any of that. The camera work was just so brutal at times, they were cutting away during plays, missing plays after commercial breaks...just ewww. I respect the use of students for production and all, but man, we can't put ourselves in position to have to be placed on a broadcast like that ever again haha.

Eh, it was a crappy production. But it's about what you'd expect for a smaller school.

They would have been better off just doing a wide shot of the game rather than trying to zoom in.

It was hilarious and obnoxious at the same time.

F. I say this for the announcers calling Shooters Bar in Appleton, MN a dive.

But, seriously, was pretty bad. Like another poster said, would've been better with just a wide shot of the field all game...

It was better than nothing.

I thought it was O.K.

I captured some video, and I don't see a big problem with the quality.

D- for the fact I did get occasional moving images and the comedy factor. I felt like this was a game on ESPN Classic.

It was better than nothing.

I think you could easily lose that argument.

In fairness to AggieVission, I think they only had two cameras operated by one guy via an orbiting Soviet era satellite.

Well, this explains some of it:

"As in seasons past, AggieVision will remain a learning lab for New Mexico State University students looking to pursue a career in television production. AggieVision utilizes approximately 15 students in every production, providing hands-on training and real-world experience. In just the past year alone, four former AggieVision students and New Mexico State graduates have landed jobs at ESPN."

But it might say more about ESPN than AggieVision.

I muted it after the first quarter... it was horrendous

and who compares nelson to kapernick..

Is NMSU a JUCO or Brown College?

I wonder if it would have looked much better on my phone as opposed to a bigger tv...

My favorite was the shot of Nelson on the phone while a play was being run.

If you thought it was bad watching on BTN2GO, you'll be astounded at what you missed when you watch the rerun on FoxSports. You will quickly realize that those long pauses during halftime and commercial breaks having to look at the blue screen with the BTN2GO ticker was actually a good thing. This one should be on B1G Classics for no other reason than the camera work!

That explains a lot. AggieVision is run by Emo theater students that have never watched football.

If half of life is just showing up, then I guess they get half credit. Let's never do that again. Ever.

Even though the production was terrible, it w
as better than I expected once I was aware it was a student production. At least I was able to see the game hooking up my computer to my flat screen with an hdmi cable and did not have to watch on my phone...

I watched it on BTN2GO so I guess I missed out on the party. Either way.....I gave it a D-......I mean.....it worked.......right?
