Harbaugh to take Michigan job per Bleacher Report's Jason Cole

Harbaugh's ego is too big to be successful again. Michigan will fail with Harbaugh. Harbaugh will fail at everything he ever does in life from this point forward.

Detroit Free Press doesn't know it's Harbaugh from its Harbaugh:

I love this hire. It's high profile and that's good for the conference. I also think Harbaugh will do good things for Michigan football and that's good for the conference as well. I personally would like to see Michigan (as well as Penn St and Nebraska) return to their former glory.

In addition to him being good for Michigan and B1G conference, I love to hate this guy. He's been a guy I've rooted against since the late 1980's. He's such a spaz. There's nothing better than the sight of those beedy eyes and square teeth flipping out. He looks like a Rhesus monkey. He choked so consistently as a QB in the NFL that I made money betting against him every season except 1995. You could always count on him to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

I leave you all with this....

Bears` Harbaugh Is Arrested On Disorderly Conduct Charge:

Bears quarterback Jim Harbaugh was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge early Monday at a Rush Street tavern after ignoring a police warning to stop yelling obscenities and leave the area, police said.

Harbaugh was shouting obscenities to a crowd that included plainclothes police officers at SheNannigans, 16 W. Division St., said Sgt. E.C. Nelson of the East Chicago Avenue District. The officers identified themselves and ordered Harbaugh to leave the area, Nelson said.

A short time later, when the same police officers were investigating another disturbance at 1 W. Division St., Harbaugh showed up and started shouting obscenities at them again, Nelson said. They tried to take him into custody, but Harbaugh ran away.

Nelson said the police officers chased Harbaugh back to SheNannigans, where he was arrested in the basement. The officers used ``necessary force``to handcuff Harbaugh, Nelson said.

``It`s kind of hard to disturb the peace in that area-people are always loud,`` Nelson said. ``He must have been really obnoxious. Evidently, he just got way out of line.``

Harbaugh was taken to the East Chicago District station. He posted bond and was released at 6:30 a.m. Monday. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for July 11.

Bears` officials were unavailable for comment Monday night.

per ESPN:

Talk of Michigan announcing Jim Harbaugh as its new head football coach at Tuesday's home basketball game against Illinois has boosted ticket prices for the game.

The cheapest ticket on ticket reseller StubHub to get in to Michigan's Crisler Arena for its Big Ten opener against the University of Illinois was $119.25 each, as of 10:30 a.m. ET on Monday. A pair of tickets in the same section sold on the site on Dec. 22 for $28 each.

Spot on. All we need is the training table and the athletic facility. That's all that stands in our way from being a perennial contender in the Big Ten.

It would also help if we had middle school football in the Minneapolis, St. Paul, and Anoka school districts. :)

When did Anoka drop middle school football?

Might be in the minority, but he will have this team turned around fast. His style fits what they were trying to do under Hoke, but he won't have a Gardner (square peg, round hole) on the team. They return a lot of players on both sides of the ball and will have a Jr. QB with experience. Gophers will have a dog fight to keep the jug in town. He has an open class to fill with only six kids committed and will not have a problem flipping kids. His style may have fizzled in the pros, but kids only have to deal with him for 4-5 years at Michigan and then move on.

Their non-conference schedule is interest in that they play Utah, Oregon St. and BYU. Oregon St. will be in year #1 of a coach and Utah could be as well. I'm willing to say they win at least 8 games in year #1.

New Michigan Coach

With the new hire in Michigan, any chances the old rivalries possibly gat restored with Notre Dame and the such?

They UM/OSU game hype has begun:

ESPN is so excited, even the SEC pretty boys (David Pollack and Jesse Palmer) are wetting themselves about Michigan/OSU/Harbaugh/Meyer. You can pretty much bet next year ESPN will pay attention to Michigan and Ohio State and that's about it in the Big Ten, even if other teams prove to be their equals/superiors. All Harbaugh and Meyer, all the time.

In fairness to ESPN, BTN's Gerry Dinardo is probably peeing himself, as well. He sees the Big Ten as Michigan and Ohio State. The rest of us peons are just living in their world.

BTN: Jim Harbaugh's return to Michigan alters Big Ten power structure

The hiring of Jim Harbaugh at Michigan will resonate throughout college football. Can you feel it?

This is big.

This is huge.

This is a game-changer that threatens the power structure of the Big Ten. A power structure and food chain that currently has Ohio State on top with Michigan State, Wisconsin and Nebraska buzzing near the summit. Now, Michigan is in hot pursuit of access behind the velvet rope to the league penthouse.

I can actually live with all of that if it means less SEC talk.

No disrespect to Nebraska, but to lump them with Wisconsin and even more so MSU & OSU is a great disservice to those schools' accomplishments over the last 5 years. The 'Huskers haven't won a Big Ten championship or even appeared in a BCS/New Year's 6 bowl.

Tim Brewster certainly has Harbaugh beat on introductory basketball halftime speeches. Ouch, brutal.
