I was there just before Covid19 hit. It rained a few days. They had to shut down the beach because of the pollution spewing out of the Tijuana River that flowed north with the ocean current. It was sad to hear that the Tijuana River is one of the most polluted rivers in the world and the beaches from the Mexican border up to San Diego are unusable when it rains.
