Gophers vs. UNLV on TV

According to Awful Announcing James Bates is on play-by-play and Aaron Taylor is the color analyst on CBS Sports Net.

another option may be if you have google chrome to add an extension called Live Sports, once you have this added to chrome a soccer ball will show up in upper right hand corner, click on that and select the "other" sports category, down toward the bottom of the list is the gopher game with a video button next to it, I have not used this site yet but did find a recommendation for it. FYI

Hmm... Checked the site out and tested it out. Thanks for the link.

I also found this site; http://www.wiziwig.tv

But you may need extra software to catch the game from there.

Yo, D! I lived in Shanghai a while back and used slingbox to watch Gopher sports. I use in Finland too. It's an amazing tool. I set one up at my folks place and can watch any TV shows that they receive via their cable package. If you can find someone in Gopherland who is willing to share their slingbox address and password, you can watch that way.

So apparently the Sports Entertainment Package from Comcast is only good for cable t.v. users. Other than hoping and praying for Firstrowsports to work tonight, it seems there are few options for anyone relegated to watching online. This, i don't understand. Seems to me that every sporting event should be available online for some sort of pay per view fee. I know, personally, i'd be more than happy to throw down a one-time $5-10 fee to watch the season opener (or quite a few of the games, really).

$5-10? That would be a terrible deal for them. Cable companies don't expect you to watch 95% of the channels you get. They expect you to spend hundreds of dollars a year to subscribe to get about 10 channels. They aren't going to give away content like that for 5 bucks a la carte because it undermines their entire model (terrible as it is).

Some argue that it would cut down online sharing, but studies have shown that the option to buy barely makes a dent for those that would otherwise get it for free. I usually find the feeds almost unwatchable, but they have been helpful when I've been overseas and without options.

Let's hope the UCLA/ Rice game gets over in time for the kickoff.

We're gonna miss the first quarter. This UCLA/Rice game is taking forevvvver

It's going to be close. Hopefully the Gophers kick off and all we miss is a UNLV 3 and out.

This is the second worst announcing crew ever. The first being the UCLA/Rice game. I'm hitting the mute button.

In case anyone else has Charter.

I just made a call to Charter and their add on tier has changed.

The tier is now $10 per mo instead of $5...includes about 20+ channels including nfl & nfl redzone.
Still pro-rated per day but there is no charge to add on or drop...used to be 1.95 each time.

End result, I can pick up the game for 33 cents...add one day drop the next.
:cheer:

Follow up:

I finally got around to calling and dropping the sports tier today. After telling the guy the reason I was dropping was the fact I just wanted it for the one game, he mentioned there would be no charge.

He then explained they have a 30 day guarantee. If dropped before 30 days = no charge.

Asked if I could do the same thing next month(don't need to)...he said sure.

Looks like I will call Charter and pick up some of those weird channels for Gopher BB----free of charge.

Make sure you give us an update on the 29 days and 23 hours of hard-core porn you're about to order.

Record "Chitty Chitty Gang Bang" for me. I never saw the end of the movie, and I'm dying to find out how it ends.
