*** Gophers vs. Badgers - 11/23 Pre-Game Thread!!!! ***

Pretty well the last 8 years

That's ridiculous. I don't remember any BADger saying it until this week. Jinx. That's all you got?! Pffffttttt. I had waaaay more...

Like, for instance, we do pretty well as a huge underdog. Ask the folks at Northwestern, Nebraska and Indiana how things worked out as a B1G favorite.

Well seeing as Gary Andersen is undefeated against the spread the last 2 years, I have to say I see a 16+point win. Also those three teams you listed? We beat those teams by combined margin of 106 points in our last games against them

Undefeated against the spread for two years?! Wow! That's a great one to file away. How do you like the chances of him beating the spread every game the rest of his career? If the Gophers can keep it close, advantage shifts to the home team. I'm wondering if some of the reason the BADgers are ranked a little lower is their inept game-management at the end of close games....Even Indi1006's 5th-grade team would do a better job that that ASU fiasco.

About as much as Minnesota's chances in this game

OK, we're making progress. I think you're saying there is a miniscule chance Andersen's record against the spread will have to end someday. Good. And, I think you think the chances the Gophers win tomorrow are similar. So, if Minnesota wins it will be a monumental upset, perhaps even a devastating and embarrassing loss for the BADgers. If the Gophers can't overcome a plethora of bad calls by the officials and come up short, there's really no shame in that. I like this. Man, am I glad I'm not a BADger fan.

1. the game hasn't started and you're already blaming the refs?
2. You're right, all this winning is tough

Good point. I was trying to come up with some way the Gophers lose and it was really the only thing that was remotely feasible. Winning is usually pretty easy for fans, how about the losing? Had to be pretty painful to watch your team botch that ASU game. I didn't see it, but I heard Ohio tried to give you the game, too, but you dropped the ball or something? Has Andersen ever beaten coach Kill?

Hello fellow Gophers fans! This is my first post here and I love the great posts from tons of great fans on here. Wondering if anyone has an idea about what time I should get to TCF Bank stadium before the game starts. I have student tickets and I this is my first game at The Bank. It shows my row and seat number but I'm pretty sure that doesn't matter because it's first-come first-serve. Am I wrong about this? Thanks for the help!

Dannyboy, you are already late! tailgate lots opened at 8:30. Grab some friends and walk over to the Ski U Mah lot and you will find many friendly Gopher fans and maybe see Gopherlady in the corner of the lot serving up a mean game of flip cup. I do believe the student section is first come first serve. I would suggest getting in about 45-30 minutes early and see the band pre-game show, grab some hot chocolate and buckle up for a great day. Be loud and get into it.
Go GOPHERS!
