Gophers 2025 Schedule Announced - how many wins do you predict?

Yep....trick now is sustaining it and proving it wasn't just a flash in the pan built on transfers and a really soft schedule.

Game against Notre Dame will be interesting. They failed in their one test against a quality team this year but my guess is they will give the Irish a battle.

Yes, they had an easier schedule than other conference teams but they averaged 40 points per game IN CONFERENCE (the next highest in-conference average was Oregon with 34.7) while surrendering an average of 16.9 (good for 4th in the league). They lost soundly to OSU but the only other Big Ten game they had that was within one score was a 20-15 win over Michigan.

I feel like people bristle anytime the schedule thing gets brought up in regards to Indiana. The Hoosiers were very good this year, had we played them they almost certainly would have beaten us. They are 100% one of the best teams in the conference this season.

But I'm still not convinced they truly "belong" with the playoff teams (they deserve to be there based on their record but we will see how well they can compete). The good news is it doesn't matter what any of us think as they will get the chance to prove it a week from Friday against Notre Dame.

Two virtually certain losses. Two virtually certain NConf wins. Should beat Purdue. The rest, really, are toss ups: we’ll be favored in some, be the dogs in others, but all should be within the toss-up range. If PJ can up the team’s ability to compete for the full 60 minutes in toss-up matches, we could end up 9-3. If we understandably stumble in some games (because of inexperience at QB or OL or CB), we might be looking at 6-6 or 7-5, even though this is a softer schedule than 2024.

Really excited to see us play at Wrigley. The temporary NW facility by the lakeshore is cool, but really small and hard to get tickets for. Wrigley will be a great backdrop and far more accessible for Gophers fans who want to spend the weekend in Chicago.

I always make the trip to Evanston and playing in Wrigley would be great but I am thinking the weather is going to be brutal. I wish this was in October.

It likely won’t be warm, not gonna lie. But it’ll be better than sitting on the lakefront exposed to the elements.

I’m worried about linebacker and wide receiver and certainly we have some uncertainty at quarterback, but we have a lot of really good talent coming back if PJ continues to change his best as a game day coach it could be a really good year. You look at the playoff bracket with a ASU and Boise in there. Why not us I’m going with 10 wins.
