Gophers 2025 Schedule Announced - how many wins do you predict?

Yep....trick now is sustaining it and proving it wasn't just a flash in the pan built on transfers and a really soft schedule.

Game against Notre Dame will be interesting. They failed in their one test against a quality team this year but my guess is they will give the Irish a battle.

Yes, they had an easier schedule than other conference teams but they averaged 40 points per game IN CONFERENCE (the next highest in-conference average was Oregon with 34.7) while surrendering an average of 16.9 (good for 4th in the league). They lost soundly to OSU but the only other Big Ten game they had that was within one score was a 20-15 win over Michigan.

I feel like people bristle anytime the schedule thing gets brought up in regards to Indiana. The Hoosiers were very good this year, had we played them they almost certainly would have beaten us. They are 100% one of the best teams in the conference this season.

But I'm still not convinced they truly "belong" with the playoff teams (they deserve to be there based on their record but we will see how well they can compete). The good news is it doesn't matter what any of us think as they will get the chance to prove it a week from Friday against Notre Dame.

Two virtually certain losses. Two virtually certain NConf wins. Should beat Purdue. The rest, really, are toss ups: we’ll be favored in some, be the dogs in others, but all should be within the toss-up range. If PJ can up the team’s ability to compete for the full 60 minutes in toss-up matches, we could end up 9-3. If we understandably stumble in some games (because of inexperience at QB or OL or CB), we might be looking at 6-6 or 7-5, even though this is a softer schedule than 2024.

Really excited to see us play at Wrigley. The temporary NW facility by the lakeshore is cool, but really small and hard to get tickets for. Wrigley will be a great backdrop and far more accessible for Gophers fans who want to spend the weekend in Chicago.
I always make the trip to Evanston and playing in Wrigley would be great but I am thinking the weather is going to be brutal. I wish this was in October.

It likely won’t be warm, not gonna lie. But it’ll be better than sitting on the lakefront exposed to the elements.

I’m worried about linebacker and wide receiver and certainly we have some uncertainty at quarterback, but we have a lot of really good talent coming back if PJ continues to change his best as a game day coach it could be a really good year. You look at the playoff bracket with a ASU and Boise in there. Why not us I’m going with 10 wins.

I found a $138 rate at Comfort Inn in Creswell, just 14 miles from Autzen Stadium.
Weather Nov 15 should be around low 50s during the day and around high 30s at night. Creswell has a very nice golf course, Emerald Valley (home of the Ducks golf team) nice practice facility for the Ducks across from the public driving range. Also, check out the Creswell Bakery, they have a very strong local following.

Holy Crap! Some Hotels in Eugene are already sold out and the rates are through the roof. $238/night at a freaking Roadway Inn!

Either there is another big event that weekend, or there’s going to be a lot of Gophers in town.
Naw, it's just the regular football crowd coming to town. When you get to Eugene, check out the Lane County farmers market as well as the Saturday Market, it' will give you a bit of feel for the Eugene. Plus, be sure and take a look at the various athletic facilities, The MATT, Hayward Field, Jane Sanders softball field, as well as the athletic facilities located at Autzen. PK Park (baseball), soccer next to that. Plus the new indoor football practice facility is currently under construction.

Also, check out the "park and ride" services for getting to Autzen. In my opinion, it's much better than trying to get into a parking lot near the stadium, plus it's cheaper. For Creswell and Springfield, the bus terminal on A street in Springfield is probably your best "park and ride" location.

How long will you guys be in Eugene? Time for a coast trip? Wine tour? Drive up the mountains?

One word of caution, many "flatlanders" (people from the midwest) tend to be a bit uncomfortable driving on mountain roads or Oregon coast roads. Lots of these roads are cut into the side of a mountain and may have a rock wall on one side and a significant drop on the other. So if you aren't familiar with driving mountian roads be careful. I believe the tallest peak in Minnesota is around 2400 feet. Oregon has over 30 mountains over 8,000 ft elevation. Also, at the coast one unique aspect of the Oregon coast (other than cold water LOL) is that the Coast Range mountains come right down to the beach.

The Nebraska/Iowa back to back weeks will be huge. Have to win at least 1 of those. If so, I predict 9-3.

This would be the ideal drive for an autonomous vehicle trip where the driver can sightsee too...

Still might be good to keep hands-on-the-wheel though...

Thank you for all the tips and info. We’re driving down from Seattle and thinking about routing through the interior and heading over from Bend.

I hadn’t thought about the wineries, which is something we might now do on Friday.

The Springfield Park n Ride sounds like a the way to go.

Thanks again!

Tough to beat the Oregon coast or Bend.

Yea, both are beautiful. I rowed my own 14 foot selfbailer raft for around 30 years, built my own flyrods, tied my own flies. Spent most of my time on the McKenzie River and the North Umpqua. I've also done a bit of camping, hiking, snowshoeing, etc.

Near Eugene, I've got a couple that produce some really nice wines, plus one that locals love for the environment (King Estates). Yea, good wines, a bit high priced in my opinion, but a wonderful setting and the food was decent.

As for food in Eugene, we have some pretty good restaurants, but it's pretty limited here. You need to know that I lived in Portland for a number of years. Portland has wonderful restaurants.

Entire coast is beautiful..thank you @GoDucks349. Done Astoriia
to Coos Bay many times. Need to make it to the Cali border.

6…. I was going to say 8 but a Gopher player had to go use PJ’s jinx slogan.. “This is the most connected team ever - since I have been here”
