GAME #21: Gophers (15-5, 4-3) @ Nebraska (9-9, 1-5) [BTN, 1/26, 5:00PM]

See this is the thing. How different would this game of been if they would brought this intensity from the start? Gah this team can be so frustrating sometimes.

Garbage call. The Nebraska player's fingertip was still on the ball after Mav's hand was off the ball. How did they miss it in the review?

Get bent.

It would be ridiculous to start one, I agree, but I wouldn't be completely shocked if someone flew off the handle and did it.

Wasn't firejerrykill.com started before the end of year 1?

If only we had this energy all game. Or even all second half. Great finish by our boys, praying for the miracle.

Whoever said this is like Tubbys prevent offense is way off base. Missed FTs doomed us.

Disgusting display from the line. One thing is clear; judging by the pit ring, Miles clearly out worked Pitino.

What did Miles do, tell his players to make more baskets? Nebraska will end up shooting 50% from 3 and still barely win.

Tough place to play and a very hot shooting team. Tough. We'll bounce back.

Math has to stay out of foul trouble and stay on the floor or we will keep losing with Andre out.

The game was lost in the first half with Math on the bench.

We lost by 4 and missed 9 FTs. It all comes down to that. Gotta bounce back right away!

I said that. I wasn't talking about the Gophers. Someone else commented on how they liked that Nebraska was just running out the shot clock when there was still a lot of time left, and I was trying to compare Nebraska's decision to do that to Tubby's late game prevent offense.

It is not only vs the Gophers, cncmin. How do you suppose the Huskers beat Ohio State???

Yeah, um, how many points did those suckasses have against OSU, again?

Ask of a sudden, Mo is percolating Elliott.

Damn autocorrect! He's outplaying him, too.

I don't understand why we didn't use Mo more

Perfect storm today. Nebraska got hot. Matheui has 9 turnovers, Eliasson misses 3 or 4 layups and was terrible today and we miss a ton of free throws. Plus not having Andre.

I wonder if Pitino will start Smith over Austin when Andre returns to light a fire under Austin.

The very first play of the game pretty much lost the game (just as it could have last game, ironically) - D'dre turned the ball over then committed a dumb foul on the very first possession.

Neb swished their first 4 shots, and will never shoot like that again this year, perhaps for the next 5 years. Still only won by 4 points. Sad.

Stat of the game: Dre Mathieu with 9 turnovers. What an absolute abomination of a game from a player everyone was calling one of the best PG's in the conference.

Sorry bout that...was refreshing this during the game, didn't see what you were replying too.

Because his defense and rebounding were bad tonight, per usual. He had a great game against Wisconsin, but certainly didn't follow that up today. That said, EE wasn't playing well either.

Mathieu showed he isn't ready to be in the discussion as an all Big Ten pg yet. He gets into too much foul trouble and has some fits of poor decision-making. He is still good, but we needed his best today. We didn't get it.

Not to go all GW on ya, but I'd say it all came down to letting one guy drop 35 points against us. Gotta play better D if you want to win. Also, turnovers were a huge problem. Both bigger than 9 missed free throws IMO.

They will bounce back though.

Stop hacking on Day-day. He had a bad game for whatever reasons. He's better than this.
