Yes there is going to be some big news at 3:30, but we also have our first game of the season tonight. I don't know anything about Lehigh other than they upset Duke in the NCAA tournament 2 years ago. Hopefully we take control early and win easily. I believe the starters have already been announced and will be Mathieu, Hollins, Hollins, Oto, and EE.
 

LeHigh will give the Gophers a good game. I will be shocked if the Gophers win easy.
 

So in the Twin Cities, this game will not be televised, you need to be online to view?
 

I am going to the B-Ball game tonight! First basketball game in about 5 years since I graduated from the U! Really looking forward to kicking off the Pitino era!

Will also be at the football game tomorrow against PSU as I have season tickets! Excited for a big Gopher weekend full of W's! Go Gophers! :)

Be interested to see if the press is more effective. Wasn't that impressive Monday night. Would like to see fewer turnovers. I actually hope they have decent size up front so we can get a better read on the new less Mo and Joey King.

I know I don't get it either. Its like the U forgot to tell the national media about the game tonight. I would expect a line to pop up here soon though.

Since the game is on espn3 it will be able available on replay on espn3 right?

So who wants to talk about things that are actually happening with Gophers basketball, like the game in 2 and a half hours?
 

Yes let's keep the RT stuff out of this thread. Need to focus on there here and now. I'm hoping we see a good game from our PF misfits and would love to see Malik Smith finally go off, I'm starting to get worried about his ability to contribute this year.

After two exhibition games? Come on, Madtown.
 

Joey King or Oto starting tonight? I have yet to watch a full game, so I don't know. From what I hear/ have seen in the past, I would like to see King play more.

And the scrimmages. And some of what Pitino has said about practices etc. Not giving up, just a little worried he isn't cut out for this level of basketball.

I thought I saw Oto will be starting, but I'm not 100% on that.

I'm not saying you are wrong, but I think it is a little early to start worrying. Let it play out, and eventually the guys will prove whether they belong or not.

In addition to the start of another glorious season of Golden Gopher basketball, it is Austin Hollins' birthday today; he's turning 22. Maybe I'll see if I can get the pep band to sing happy birthday at some point during the game!
 

Tonight starts the journey to the tourney. Let's get it done! 1-0. The games count, let's make a statement.
 

I'm just excited to start watching some college basketball again. It's been way too long...
 

Hopefully we get a W to help us forget about all of the negative stuff that came out today.

Malik Smith is already my least favorite player. Seems like he doesn't do anything other than shoot 3's and by that I mean every single time he touches the ball.
