FootballScoop: Hoke, Calhoun, Edsall and Chryst tell U they are NOT interested in job

Mark Twain - it was revealed in his autobiography.

Crazy Joe is going to look very good when Riley is announced as HC after the Civil War.

Quote from Maturi

"don't read too much into the location" after the San Diego plane trip where Hoke was met with.

From GI: "Hearing something could go down soon and the new coach has kids from toddler to teens"

Well, Riley's description would not match this:

"@ZachJohnsonGI: Hearing something could go down soon and the new coach has kids from toddler to teens"

Followed up with: "Keep in mind the toddler to teens could include kids from entire staff..."

This isn't a "leak". Anybody can send a note to FootballScoop.com. This could be an agent, it could be a coach, it could be you or I. What gives footballscoop some credibility is that it is largely unknown outside of the coaching industry, but pretty much every coach/agent knows about it. That said, this could have come from anybody.

Agreed...who is FootballScoop.com anyway. They really do not seem relevant to me. At this time I would actually have to say ESPN is more relevant then them. If you know my feelings toward ESPN, that does not give them much credibility.

A lot of things flying around and sites are just to quick to hit the keyboards before any indepth investigation.

no longer wants to be 2nd or 3rd fiddle in the state.

I believe Brett Favre might be flying down to pick up our next coach. I think he is the guy. Oklahoma State was top 10 in rushing under him. He was at Florida. He has four kids, don't know the ages.

Riley could really endear himself to Gopher fans early by beating Oregon and dispatching them to the Rose Bowl to lay waste to the Badgers. Just a thought.

PLEASE not Larry Fedora.

I'd rather have Trestman.

This means the coaching staff consists of human beings and not robots?

LOL...that's what I was thinking. Robots OR an entire staff with coaches under 20 or over 70. I've also heard that the coach will be breathing AND relies upon the intake of water and caloric sustenance (preferably 3x/day) in order to live. Don't forget--that comment could be referring to the staff as well.

So....the Crazy Joe criteria seems to be:

(1) unexpected coach to leave his current program
(2) 2nd or 3rd fiddle in the state
(3) has young kids

Am I missing one of his hints?

Mike Gundy?

Joe gave us 5 neames earlier, then he said that our speculation landed in the right state, but not the right coach. He never said anything about kids that I'm aware of. One of the 5 was Riley, and we have all speculated ad nauseum about Belotti.

He said the name was on this list:

Fedora, Riley, Calhoun, Schiano, and Hoke

Fedora is by far the least favorable option of the 5, and being a Gopher football fan, I imagine he'll be the name announced shortly as our new HC. FML.

Larry Fedora is the name and would not surprise me at all. Was a name I know was mentioned early on here and no one picked up on it.

A decent hire if true. So. Miss has been a good program under him.

Ahhhh....so essentially it would be Riley or Fedora and being that we are the Gophers, it will be Fedora.

Could be Randy Shannon since Miami is behind Florida & Florida State at the moment...
