First thing you will do if Reid Travis commits to the U

This will be me telling my Badger friends.

I'm sitting here on Golden Shower's front step waiting for the announcement. If Reid breaks my heart I'm going to have to unload in the bushes.

Dawkins is out at Stanford. Come on home Reid!

A nice thought, but I'd guess he went to Stanford because of the school more than the coach. Still, he seemed pretty high on the U at the end of his recruitment despite opting to leave, maybe it's an opportunity for him to get to play at both schools? I'm not gonna get my hopes up though.

More talented than anyone on our team, do in fact need him.

I'll happily take half a season of Travis over a full season of Konate. If he's healthy, he's far and away better than any big we have, that includes Lynch.

No! I told myself I wouldnt let myself dream like this.

And a bunch of porn stars on the team will entice him to come home? That Stanford diploma will look good in his office someday.

Would be wonderful news! Is there specific reasoning for this speculation? Has he indicated he may leave Stanford?

Could Reid be a 5 year guy who comes back to play one year here after he graduates?

Just speculating on his status, but I am wondering if he is done playing competitive basketball. Recurrent stress fractures in the long bones of the leg are predisposing to complete fractures and it would not seem to be worth the risk. It would seem his best bet is to focus on his education and leverage that Stanford degree down the road.

Travis will apply for a medical redshirt. (could have 3 years left of play).

Travis was averaging 12.8 points and 7.1 rebounds per game before going down.

Check his post history, this should not suprise you.

Generally I just laugh at his ridiculous blind optimism every year (God bless him) as he probably is just waiting to say "I was right" after being wrong 12 times. By December of 2015 for example we'll get his first "so excited for next year" post about the 2016-2017 season. Repeat for the previous several years. I'm not the only one that called him out on it.

That particular post was somewhat unrelated. I forgot that just 2.5 years ago things weren't THAT far apart between UW and U of M.
