This is the place for Gophers fans to discuss today's FCS championship game between the Illinois State Redbirds (13-1) and the North Dakota State Bison (14-1) today at noon on ESPN2. Both teams are co-champions of the Missouri Valley Conference, but did not meet during the regular season.

If you are not interested in this game, please feel free to ignore this thread.

If tre Roberson doesn't transfer to Illinois state, Illinois state isn't in this game and Indiana is in a bowl game IMO.

Current temperature in Frisco, TX is 33 degrees with a forecast high of 39 and cloudy.

I would like to congratulate ndsu on their 4th straight JVship. They're the St. Thomas Cadets of college football

Forgot he was at Illinois St. I'm more interested in this game now.

From a huge Gopher fan, i'm pretty proud of NDSU, that team is loaded with
Minnesota kids including their two best players. I hope they wipe ILL St off
the map.

Roberson has been very underwhelming so far.

Yeah he isn't that good. But he is way better than the guy Indian was playing the second half of the year.

He is also playing his toughest opponent of the year with teammates that are FCS players.

From a huge Gopher fan, go Redbirds.

Can't play man. Can't play man. Can't play deep zone.
What do you want them to play? Cover 2?

Ummm... how about starting with safety help?

Or is your defensive knowledge limited to deep zone, cover 2, and straight man?

Man with safety help on the outside. One of the gash plays the safety came up

Man defense was almost as bad as going prevent

Yeah, Illinois State was getting zero pressure only rushing 4 guys so they decided to go with an all out blitz. I thought they should've done something in the middle, maybe send 6 guys and keep somebody deep.

Um, clock runs out, game is over......and the refs are throwing flags?????

That entire situation confused me. They throw a personal foul flag, but then pick it up after they realize the fans are storming the field.

Must have been on the redbirds, or they didn't want to deal with getting everyone off the field.

Congrats Bizon on being the NCAA champions of Division I football.

Great to show the country good FB is played at all levels in the north, too.

Seemed to me the flags were at least 5 seconds after the game was over.
