In my league, the QB earns 6 points for TD passes/rushing and the format has an additional offensive player in addition to the standard 2 QB's, 2 RB's & WR's, 1 TE. So, it makes all the sense in the world to grab 2 strong QB's, which in our league means there should be 20 QB's starting each week (10 teams). As we all know once you get beyond the top 10 (if that) QB's can be really erratic week to week. So my strategy (after my first season in the league) is to grab 2 top QB's and roll the dice with the rest of the positions.

While there's been some others in the league who have figured out this approach, for the most part, it's not been common among others, to my benefit. Here's my lineup for week 1 (I picked fifth in our 10 team wraparound, snake draft):
QB Josh Allen (pick 1)
RB Derrick Henry (pick 3)
RB Chase Brown (pick 4)
WR Davante Adams (pick 6)
WR DJ Moore (pick 7)
TE Trey McBride (pick 5)
OP Baker Mayfield (pick 2)
Flex Aaron Jones (pick 9)
K Chase Little
D Patriots

I ended up outscoring the next highest scoring team in the league by 50 points this week. I also have Jordan Love on the bench in case something happens to Allen/Mayfield. Jakobi Meyers, Deebo Samuels, Rome Odunze and Jaylen Warren are on my bench. While I have no love for (ahem) Love and the Packers, that he lasted until the 8th round after Drake Maye, Cam Ward, CJ Stroud, Tua, McCarthy, Caleb W, Stafford, and Trevor Lawrence were selected as my insurance QB stunned me (all the others are their teams second QB). Anti-Packer sentiment runs strong in my league, to my benefit.

It should be a magical season, until week 1 of the playoffs when the Bills run into a historic snowstorm, Henry, Brown, Jones are sidelined with lingering injuries and the WRs/TEs run into a collective of tough passing defenses. I've been there too many times.

Nix had 8.84 points compared to Burrows 8.82 points. The guy I played would have beat everyone and I would have lost to everyone. Only way to go and that’s up
Well it's an easy decision for you now. Tough luck with Burrow.

As I should have known, my big words came back to bite me in the ass for week 2. Allen, Henry, and Brown all underperformed and I chose to ride with Moore vs. Odunze for my second WR slot. Oh well, hopefully the dog in Allen/Henry's season arrived in Week 2 and isn't indicative of how the season will go for these two.

This thread doesn't get much interest but gonna brag a little bit anyways. In my main baseball league (5x5 H2H), I'm destroying everyone. Two of my four keepers were Elly and Raleigh and I took Judge with the 1st pick. Pitchers like Pivetta, Sanchez, Kelly and Boyd have been surprisingly really good.

There's a larger gap between me and the 3rd place team than 4th and 12th place. Through 14 weeks, there hasn't been a week that I have lost more than won. Had a few 4-4 or 5-5 weeks but that's it. Of course all it takes is one bad week in the playoffs and it's all for naught. But has been fun so far.

What I do like about this set up in baseball that football doesn't have is in the playoffs the worse seed has to beat the higher seed to advance. So if it's a 5-5 week, the higher seed advances. Makes the regular season mean a little bit more.
I finished my "perfect" seasons by winning the championship this last week. Went the entire season (24 weeks) without having a losing week.

After getting stomped in my first matchup I have won 2 in a row and now sitting at second in the league

For the 10th year in a row, it's just not my year. James Conner already out for the year. And Burrow being out has killed Chase's value.

Once again I get my ass handed to me and now sit at 2-2. Burrows injury is going to kill me since I have Chase too

If it makes you feel any better, in one of my leagues, I drafted Lamb/Nabers at the 10/11 turn and then Kittles/Burrow at 30/31.

Williams got me 31 points last night so it’s a good start

Broke my personal scoring record with 193.86 points. It’s been boom or bust so far this season
