Fantasy Sports Talk

Won my start-up dynasty/developmental league. Happy for now, but long term, I might be in a hole. Need to brush up on the rules, but I think next year we can start drafting guys who are still in college.

What if they chose to stay in college forever after next month's Supreme Court ruling?

Then I guess they just sit on my taxi squad.
I like this type of league, but there's just so much to pay attention to. Multi year contracts with a hard salary cap, taxi squad, etc. I may need to hire a capologist.

I've been in the same Dynasty League for 17 years and it's so much more complex (and fun) than re-draft leagues. You literally have to plan for the next 2-3 years while also trying to win now.

After our initial Auction in Year One of the league, we have a 4-Round Rookie/FA Draft every year. We had close to 30 trades this year that included current players and future Draft Picks. Tons of fun and trash talking.

Our league only uses one (1) QB with just 4 points for TD passes so their value is diminished compared to Flex players. Shadeur and Ward will probably get drafted late 1st/Early 2nd but the top of the Draft this year is stacked with Ashton Jeanty, Travis Hunter, Tetairoa McMillan and Luther Burden. Tons of great TE prospects, too, that are always scarce in Fantasy.

Congrats on winning your league's first season!

I was in a similar league for 15ish years, so this is not real new for me. The taxi squad/college players aspect is the new wrinkle. I was super high on Nabers this year and I could have had him since rookies were part of the auction. Kicking myself on that one. But I did get Bowers and have him for 4 more years, so I should be good at TE.

We’re in a family auto draft league. My wife is playing my mom in the championship. That last missed extra point by Moody cost my wife. My mom had Detroit’s defense and if they had given up 35 pts, the defense loses 3 fantasy points.

Last week Hurts getting a concussion cost me a semi final loss by 3 points. I would of won the league had he not got hurt as I took third and would of won championship game by 40 🙁

This was my 9-year old's first fantasy team. I helped guide him on when to pick positions, general strategy, etc during the draft, but every player was his choice. Then during the season, I kept on top of injuries and poor performances, but he picked all the replacements. He scored the most points in the league, and got the first round playoff bye. He then proceeded to lose his first playoff game and was playing for third place. I forgot to check his team until 12:01pm on Sunday, when those noon players were already locked!?!? Tony Pollard was sitting in his flex spot as "Out". F. He had Hockenson yet to play sitting on the bench I could have put in. Even with a valiant effort by Gibbs and kicker Bates last night, he ended up losing by 0.7 points. And it's my fault.

Ooof. Sorry to hear that. Hope the overall fun of the season cancels out that last glitch

A new bike, gaming system and trip to Disney World should make things about even. 😉
