Doogie says Brewster a no-brainer for Turkey of Year,

That's not fair considering he was fired on Christmas. Someone could unfairly pin the failures of that class on Brewster. Those players stayed after he was canned. Also, the turnover of Mason players who left when Brewster came was pretty significant. Next year's senior class is neither Mason or Brewster's fault.

That is the 2011 class with Orton, Bunders, Davis, etc

Alvarez didn't take over a Bowl Team.......

Neither did Brewster, no way were the Gophers going to a bowl game Brewster's first year even if Vince Lombardi was coaching. The team Mason left was horsecrap.

Let me rephrase that...Alvarez didn't take over a team that had been to 8 bowl games in the previous 10 years...Brewster did no matter how u look at it.......

It's a joke. Wild are in a strong hockey market, making money hand over fist, and are in near last place. Their former best player is second in scoring in the NHL. The Wild fans have been swindled for 10 years. They had to watch Lemaire's boring teams and then this.

The U hockey team is struggling with a talent base second to none.

The T-Wolves may be the worst team ever in the NBA.

And Brewster deserves it because they lost by 12 points on the road to a team likely to go to a BCS bowl? A top 15 team?

Doogie, you are not a deep thinker.

post of the year nominee! if only because it contains nothing but common sense and flawless logic.

anyways, please get a clue doogie! then after that please come up with a "big-boy" first name that doesn't make you sound like you are still in the 4th grade and your mom lays out your clothes for you every morning while you are brushing your teeth. doogie?! really?!

anyone who still loves mason is saying these three things without a doubt, and can never show any proof that this is not the case.

1. THEY WERE OK WITH BEING AVERAGE
2. THEY WERE OK WITH THIRD TEAR OHIO PLAYERS
3. THEY WERE OK WITH A COACH THAT PISSED OFF LOCAL HS COACHES

Bronko -- Please, only the facts please ... it's my wife who lays out my clothes.

isn't that sad? even with these points you mentioned, he's still better than brewster. and i, by no means "loved" mason - but i thought we were going to upgrade a mediocre team and coach. i was incorrect.

Brewster inherited a team with a major deficiency of talent. How can you pretend that isn't a valid point simply because Mason made it to a bowl in 8 of 10 years? The players of Gophers past weren't going to determine future wins/losses. Its the players on the roster Brewster inherited that count.
