That had to be one of the most energetic crowds since the Penn State game. Students, rest of the stadium, very loud, very enthusiastic. Maybe a bit boozed up too (especially noticeable in the walk back to the parking lot ;)).

Agreed. It was on a different level last night. I didn’t notice more drunks than usual around us, but the difference in electricity was notable. It’s kind of a mutual energy level thing. The team hasn’t given us a performance like that in quite a while. The crowd and the team feed off each other.

It seemed that more than half the crowd (including students) split early from last week’s homecoming game. Glad to hear last night’s game was energetic throughout!

There has been an erosion of season tix holders since coming out of covid in Section 211 (and Section 212 for that matter). Often this translates to empty seats (that do no help with maroon outs as they are gold) that go to casual and once-a-year fans or of course the enemy.

Last night these seats were filled with Huskers.

Don't know about anyone else but this was like tackling fuel for the Billds. Really revved up with them all around. Mrs. Billd was in fine cheering form for every down last night.

Finally, I don't think there is hate for Nebbie like I-O-W-A, just disdain. Even as PJ's Gophers demonstrate time after time that we own them, they still believe they are superior. Hate is not the right response. Rubbing their face time and time again into Minnesota Victory is the right answer for that.

As the saying goes, "If you don't like it, then stop us." Ski U Mah!

They’re just kids having fun.
Because of the field storming, plus we actually caught the choo-choo to the West Bank when we walked up, got to hear the post-game on KFAN.

Heard a stat that apparently Minnesota beating ranked opponents is far more rare than I realized, at least as a stat. If someone else heard it too and recalls, seeing it again would be interesting.

With that said I've changed my mind about the kids storming the field for beating what may end up being a mediocre Nebraska team. The field was stormed last year me recollects for beating a ranked but in the end mediocre Trojans team.

As Coach said in the post-game presser, one of his and the team's jobs is to create memories. Did that last night with or without the storming, but for those on the field, they'll hold on to that for the rest of their lives. Good times. Storm away.

Great to see the enthusiasm. Embarrassing field storm however. Not when you beat the 25th ranked team🤦‍♂️
Watching the DVR after the Mccartney concert, I thought it was sad to see a field storm for a mediocre Nebraska team. I guess drunk students gonna do what drunk students do. You can see the Nebraska players thought it was odd.

Feeling sad … about other people having harmless fun.

A large majority were just not prepared for the chill last Saturday.

Plus had Homecoming gatherings to attend.

My understanding was that having a night game for homecoming makes for a long day for the alumni and the rest of the visitors.
Totally understandable.
