Congrats Gopher Lady on your 1st Strib Blog

Excellent job. I love the Racine, WI shout out too. It's good to see more Ray-town members on this board and in the Star Trib. Keep it up.

I just read the blog and I was very impressed and it brought back some good memories. Brett Lawson and the walk ons as well as the 2003-04 team recap were fun to read. Congratulations on getting to write at the Star Tribune and I look forward to reading more of them in the future.

Of Course, Late to the Party

But a hearty well done, Gopher Lady.

Thanks for being able to sum-up (so well) what it's like to be a fan of Gopher basketball. You have talent! Looking forward to your continuing coverage of what looks to be a special year.

Well done Nadine. With the crappy seasons we're experiencing/likely to experience with local pro and college teams (excluding the Twins), I have a feeling this winter Gopher (men's) basketball will have a significant amount of bandwagon-jumpers, and I say let's welcome them aboard. Whatever it takes to get The Barn back to full throttle on a consistent basis, instead of just once or twice a season.

Thanks again, everyone! I can't say thank you enough - I'm really surprised at the positive comments. I thought I'd get ripped!

Any chance you could take an recruiting assistant position within the program? Good job!!!

I'd love that! I would have my eye on only 4 and 5 stars...and for some reason, when I was 17, 17 year old boys hated me...now they take to me.

GopherLady, if there was ever any doubt about your character and skill, it is gone now. I did my normal scan of GopherHole this morning, sitting at my desk at work and saw your article. I had to catch myself from opening weeping in front of coworkers. I'm truly touched. Congrats on the blog and kudos to the Strib for picking it up!

Weeping? Wow! That is not the reaction I anticipated...they must have tried to check you into the psych ward at work, haha :)

Another Raytowner on the board? Who are you???

Class of 96', Racine J.I. Case. I believe we have a few Ray-Towners on this board.

Nadine, I just want you to know that I stopped an insult on your StribBlog comments, when some dirtball liked you for being a good gopher athletic supporter. (I think it was some Wisky jerk). When I chastised that commentor for insulting you by calling you a jockstrap, both were immediately removed, which was my purpose. NO ONE insults our GopherLady!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm Park 1996...I bet we know a lot of the same people! I played with all the Case girls in soccer.

Awww, thanks Dr. Don! It's actually so funny, I was talking to my Mom last night and she said she actually really enjoyed the blog (she doesn't read or understand any of my sports stuff) and she actually mentioned you! She said I got a lot of good comments, and who is this Dr. Don? Do I know him? He seems to like you and is a fan - she said. So Mom appreciates your support as well! :)

Slow clap 4 GL...nice work.

A slow clap? There is no better cheer!

In terms of full disclosure... I am a distant Raytowner as well. Although... my experience is limited to Gilbert Knapp elementary.... Don't tell anyone I have some Wisky blood in my veins... I managed to filter it out over time.

Rouser, with a little experience in this area I can tell you that the converts are usually more steadfast than the ones from the cradle. Your tainted blood actually may lift you above many of the rest of us.

GL, I add my congratulations to your new gig. You will represent the passionate fan base with class and integrity.

OH, so now I am a bra strap????? :)

I'd rather be a bra than a jock. :drink:

I should confess to you, that when I am reincarnated, I want to live my next life as a pair of bikini panties. HooWah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
