Complete meltdown in tOSU

I'm not saying he should necessarily be suspended for a whole game (are others?). Maybe the public apology was enough.

My point is you can not suspend/bench Elliot for telling the truth about what Urban did and not do something to Urban who did it. Urban certainly could not have.

And to be clear Urban did nothing to warrant discipline either....he just coached a bad game.

Btw we all think Michigan is going to pound OSU this week right?

Do you think an employer might at the very least reprimand an employee that publicly bashes management's decision making? I 100% think so (in fact I know so - I have seen it happen more than once at my employer). Like I said though - maybe he was reprimanded and the public apology was enough.

Dude as a department head employees are directed to forward media requests to the appropriate folks.

Second, if a employee of VW said management put the company employees in a bad position by what they did. Nothing would happen to said employ. Especially if the employee was made available to the media by said company. And if said company did discipline or punish the employee the public and media would term them......especially if if was done under orders of person who screwed up.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. Apparently in your line of work that would fly. Not in mine (as I said, I've seen it happen more than once).

I'll stop beating this topic to death now. Peace out.

I'd bench Elliott next week. F 'em.

Barrett got a 1 game for basically a DUI- and that was only because he had to so something. Urban wants to win too badly to bench a player like Elliott for speaking out of place.

The whole thing is hilarious... you lose a game and the fans, some players and the media- light their hair on fire and think the world is coming to an end. The rest of College football could give 2 sh*ts what it does to their 'playoff picture'. It's a lot easier to win than lose and losing builds character. That's something these entitled tOSU idiots need.

On BTN Live last night I got a hoot out of Ray Lucas and Gerry DiNardo defending Meyer, saying he handled yesterday's press conference in a classy way.

Classy?

Meyer -- while saying it was wrong for Elliott to air that out in public (I agree with that) -- then said he agreed with what Zeke said & then proceeded to thrown his offensive coordinators under the bus by saying he'd be more involved in the play calling moving forward. That's pretty clear finger-pointing by Meyer, too. That's pretty much saying, "It was the coordinator's fault, not mine."

That's classy?

Hey Gerry and Ray, who's the head coach? Who has the final say?

Meyer can suspend whomever he wants. It's his team.

I find it telling that on multiple occasions I asked "what would he be suspended for" and there was no response.

It's sad that people want to punish someone because we don't like or agree with what they say.

I don't like what Elliot said but I recognize he said nothing
that warrants discipline.

How is it possible for people to actually take more issue with someone acknowledging what someone did versus what the person actually did?

Even Meyer states what Elliot said was correct......I guess Meyer should be suspended.

Yes, that would be tiring and he shouldn't be suspended.

What's also very tiring is people pretending that MSU had nothing to do with the victory. It's was only Meyer's "gameplan" that kept tOSU from hammering Sparty.

I liked how Elliott said the Buckeyes were "gashing their defense, and then we stopped doing what we were doing."

If by gashing he means driving 32 yards on 10 plays for a TD after getting a turnover & a short field, by all means Zeke, you were gashing Sparty's defense.
