Colorado game vs Texas A&M (week before Gophers) moved to Mile High

Events I have been at that included Cyclone and Gopher fans have always been cordial, such as NCAA basketball tournaments (Metrodome '00 & Milwaukee '17) or long ago football/basketball games.

The shared distaste for the Hawkeyes seems to play a role in that.

Again, I am not saying create another border rivalry, just seems like they should play other at least occasionally, especially if some bucks can be made.

I wouldn’t be against it. Especially as they’ve been better lately. But I wouldn’t be any more interested in playing Iowa state than I would be in playing Kansas state, Missouri, Colorado, Arizona (random mid tier power 5 team)

I've said this before, and you might know this as well, but ... part of it is:

they blame Minnesota players for killing Jack Trice. Seriously.

I appreciate the reminder on the unfortunate story on Trice. Tragic. I do remember vaguely reading about it when they eventually did play each other in '89-'90.

would be a fun schedule. But kind of a gauntlet
